Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Jynx, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Aluminum

Hi, Mathemagician. You recently requested that Aluminium be moved to Aluminum. This won't be done, because there is a guideline (specifically WP:ENGVAR) that states that once a variety of spelling is chosen for an article (in this case, the British spelling of the word), it shouldn't be changed unless there are strong national ties to the subject (for instance, the article on George Washington should use American spellings, while that for Winston Churchill should use British spelling). I hope that helps. Parsecboy (talk) 16:31, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mathemagician57721. You moved aluminium to "alumin(i)um". The page has since been moved back because there was no discussion on the talk page about the move (WP:CONSENSUS needs to be gained, especially for moves of such high traffic pages) and the new title was not in keeping with Wikipedia's naming conventions. If you believe the page should be moved, I suggest you open a discussion on the talk page. Nev1 (talk) 16:53, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please refrain from unilaterally changing the spelling of aluminium as you did in this edit and instead use the talk page to gain consensus for your actions. If you continue to edit against consensus, you risk being blocked for disruptive editing. Nev1 (talk) 17:30, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is your last warning. Stop edit warring or you will be blocked. Nev1 (talk) 17:38, 2 September 2009 (UTC) Scratch that, Beetstra (talk · contribs) has blocked you indefinitely. Nev1 (talk) 17:42, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have shortened the block to 31 hours, but please discuss and reach consensus before performing these controversial edits. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 19:53, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple accounts?

Hi, Mathemagician. It's come to my attention that Aruseusu (talk · contribs) and 204.184.214.2 (talkcontribsinfoWHOIS) are editing in a similar manner to your account. Are either of the two related to you in any way? Parsecboy (talk) 20:12, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The IP is the computer at my school, but as for Aruseusu... Someone agreeing with me doesn't automatically make him/her a sockpuppet! --Mathemagician57721 (talk) 00:09, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's just a little bit odd that you have a very similar editing pattern (mostly involving Pokemon related articles), which coincides with the editing pattern of a known sock-puppeteer, who also has operated socks with math-related names. Parsecboy (talk) 00:28, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
