Your username

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Masonmearse15", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because the word "mearse" refers to urinary incontinence in Spanish. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Collarédon (talk) 19:15, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Collarédon - "Mason Mearse" sounds like the real first and last name of a person... Do you really think that this user chose that word as part of their username because it refers to "urinary incontinence in Spanish"? Even if he did, why would that make this a username a violation of Wikipedia's username policy? More importantly...... Why are you warning this user that their chosen username isn't appropriate and asking them to explain themselves? He's brand new here... This account is only two days old and you've hit his user page up with two questions that quite frankly, are very unnecessary. I think you need to lay off the attempted enforcement of UPOL and the asking of questions on the user talk pages of new accounts until you become familiar with those policies first... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:14, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple accounts

Hello Masonmearse15. I noticed that there also exists an account on Wikipedia called Masonmearse. Is this you? Keep in mind that the use of multiple accounts is restricted. Also, please read the above notice concerning your username. Collarédon (talk) 19:17, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Collarédon - The use of multiple accounts is absolutely not restricted on Wikipedia except in cases where it violates policy. We should assume good faith - especially to new users who just created an account here. This other account you found is over two years old and with no edits at all. "Mason Mearse" sounds like a name that wouldn't be rare to come across between more than one person; it's more likely than not that this account doesn't belong to him at all. We need to be welcoming to new users instead of hitting up their talk pages like this and questioning them about other accounts that's probably not theirs :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:05, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
