Apple edit
Hello Martinshields and welcome to editing. I reversed your edit on Apple because the source you provided contains misinformation and so is not reliable (see WP:RS and WP:MEDRS for anti-disease claims). Specifically, apples (referring to your source)
- are not particularly nutritious (see the USDA nutrient table for the Apple article and the Livescience nutrient table which shows insignificant nutrient content, except for fiber)
- do not provide health benefits via polyphenols, as these compounds are not accepted as nutrients and their role in humans is unknown
- do not provide anti-disease benefits; in fact, no food has been proven to do this
- are not a miracle food and are not "loaded with vitamin C" which is low in content per serving
I could go on about the numerous exaggerations and weaknesses of the Livescience source. Also, your use of this reference was for a statement unrelated to nutrient content and possible health benefits, as it was used to support consumption of seeds.
Hope this helps your understanding of appropriate sources that meet WP:SECONDARY and your editing continues successfully. --Zefr (talk) 06:03, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Zefr. I have made another attempt at this. What do you think? --Martinshields (talk) 07:25, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
- Hello again Zefr. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I will eventually get the hang of this. :) --Martinshields (talk) 18:57, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
December 2016
Hello, I'm Grayfell. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Schlage have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.
