Now as the closing admin for the J-Horror AfD, I'm already going to say that I'm not going to allow restoration. The issue with the article was that this was just a routine list of films shown on the channel. Wikipedia is not a TV guide and it's assumed that any given television channel will show films and that these films (and shows) will be broadcast on various different channels. Now if these films had been created by WakuWaku, that would potentially be different since there is precedent for Wikipedia to contain lists of original material (shows, films, etc) created by a given channel. However this wasn't the case with the movies in the J-Horror article, as the films that were on the list (like Tomie: Unlimited) were not created by WakuWaku. A look at the programming article shows that this is the same case, as this channel did not create these shows and are just re-broadcasting them. You can ask KTC if they will restore the article (which was deleted only days ago) but I imagine that their response will be the same as mine. You can take this to DRV when your block is up, but I think that it's extremely unlikely that they will restore the material, given that WakuWaku did not create the material and was uninvolved with it in any fashion other than re-broadcasting.
If you continue to try to re-create the material after this block is up then you run a serious risk of getting permanently blocked from editing. While you've only had the routine notifications that the material would be deleted as a recreation, I do note that you've had the J-Horror article deleted once already as a recreation by Cerebellum. At some level you had to know that it was unacceptable to re-create the material, which is why I'm giving you this short block and why I'm warning you that any further attempts to do this without consent from the deleting AfD admins or DRV will result in a longer, likely permanent block since recreation is very disruptive and will accomplish little to nothing in the long run. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing. • I'm blocking you because you've been specifically warned not to re-add the movie lists to Wikipedia, as they did not fit the site's guidelines for lists and was previously deleted at AfD. I gave a fairly good explanation as to why this didn't fit and I also warned you that this could result in a permanent block. You'd even been given a temporary block for trying to re-add the content. Since you have tried to re-add this content, I have to assume that this is your only reason for editing on Wikipedia and that another non-permanent block would be futile, as you'd only try to re-add the content once the block was up. I'm sorry, but I'm permanently blocking you from editing. You can ask to be unblocked, but there will be one non-negotiable requirement: that you not try to re-add these lists to Wikipedia in any shape, form, or fashion. Wikipedia is not a TV Guide and there is little encyclopedic value in listing each movie that has broadcast on a film channel unless the films were specifically created for broadcast on their station or were created by the channel - which is not the case here at all. We don't have a list of say, every film that has ever broadcast on Cinemax because the list would be forever incomplete and would have little encyclopedic value because the channel contributed nothing to the creation or initial showing of these films/programs. Sometimes we can justify having a list of current programming on a channel if it's an ongoing program, but even then that's sometimes pushing it if the show was a one-time-only thing. Wikipedia is not meant to be a catch all for every show or film ever shown on a channel, especially if the channel is more well known for just rebroadcasting shows and films produced by other networks or companies. • Thanks Ritchie! I was going to reiterate my posts from above. Basically, at this point I would say that the only way this editor should be unblocked is if they agree to not re-add the content and if they also agree to not edit on any WakuWaku Japan content. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:28, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I had originally typed this out prior to Ritchie's post, but I'm going to post this anyway:
I will not. You re-created a page after it was deleted and you were specifically warned that further re-creation of the article would likely result in a permanent block. At no time did you ever respond to my warning, nor have you ever tried to discuss this with others. As was stated repeatedly here and elsewhere, the content was not considered to be encyclopedic because it was considered to be a WP:TVGUIDE at best and Wikipedia does not keep track of every film or even every TV show ever shown on a television statement. This is because every channel will re-broadcast various shows and material from other places. It's not only routine, but channels can show hundreds upon thousands of shows and films that they had no hand in creating and were first aired elsewhere. This means that listing these would make for extremely long articles that are forever incomplete and at best would be considered random miscellany with no encyclopedic value. Wikipedia does cover original content that a channel will make and list pages of this type are reasonable, but this WakuWaku Japan has created only a very small amount of content - the vast majority of it came from other channels.
I've explained that to you several times and this is the reason why the list pages were deleted at AfD. There's no way that you couldn't be aware that these pages were not appropriate for Wikipedia, yet you continued to add them to Wikipedia despite several clear indications that this was not acceptable. The only way that I would unblock you is if you were to agree to not re-add the content to Wikipedia and to be honest, I would actually prefer that you not edit anything regarding WakuWaku Japan at all. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:29, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • It looks like they created a new account only a day after this account was blocked Marioluigi39333. I told them to seek an unblock via the unblock ticket system. I'm OK with them editing the main page for WakuWaku Japan as long as they're not adding content that was not created by the channel (ie, no TV listing type material of stuff that was created by someone else, routine rebroadcasting of non-original content) and no list pages of the type they had previously created. FWIW the new account's edits don't look obviously bad, although I haven't taken a very in-depth look. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:11, 2 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
