Welcome!

Hello, Madisonappel, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Corset

Hello, Madisonappel, and welcome!

Thanks for your contribution at Corset. Unfortunately, I had to revert it. All material needs to be verifiable. I see that you did find a reference for the material, and tried to add it using a {{cite web}} template. Your heading in the right direction, but there are a couple of problems: the main one is that the reference you created is useless to anyone outside IU. Also, it's missing vital information, such as Author, Title, Date, Publisher, Journal name, and other info. (Look up {{cite journal}} for more fields.) The main problem for you, though, is how to get a valid citation from JStor, and how to format your citation here. Your professor has the answer to that, you can either ask her, or go to her User page here, and look at the information there. You can start, by looking at these two links:
