Information icon Please refrain from using talk pages, such as Talk:Star Wars: The Last Jedi, for general discussion of the topic and posting unfounded claims about editor behavior. Talk pages should be used to discuss improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or soapbox. If you have specific questions about general topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking there instead. See the talk page guidelines for more information. Your last comment was collapsed, because it is disruptive to the Wikipedia project and community. Focus on content instead to move the discussion forward and backup claims with reliable sources. I saw your post on that talk page and I assumed the above blurb is just copypaste but looking at your edits I realise it may not be. Anyway, I made a response there and I am very sad that you consider me to accuse editors; it wasn't my intention. I also used the Talk page with the intention of improving the article in a specific way, and thus asking the experts (such as yourself) on the topic; not discussing the be or not to be on the topic at hand. I don't have "specific questions on general topics" but specific questions on a specific topic. I have seen sources from "internet chatter" used on other articles, so the topic I'm interested in is specific.
For the most part I summarised all my thoughts there but I just want you to know it actually would mean a lot to me if you allowed my original comment to be visible. <3 At the very least not accusing me of accusing editors (which editor(s)?) of whitewashing or whatever. You'll need to be more specific. If you want to talk theory and hypotheticals, Wikipedia is not the place to do it. This is not a forum. Whether accurate or not, Wikipedia is simply a reflection of what reliable sources tell us. Each article is also a summary of the subject's most important aspects. We do not summarize ALL aspects. If you feel this particular article needs to be adjusted or amended, simply bring the sources to the table for discussion on the talk page. Going on and on about things you've noticed or contemplated is not enough. We need something concrete we can evaluate and look at to determine whether or not it should be included. It would also be helpful if you kept your posts short and to the point. Writing paragraphs about others' motivations (either on Wikipedia or the internet) is a distraction and should be omitted.
If you are new to Wikipedia, as your account suggests, you may want to visit WP:TEA for general assistance learning new concepts. Help:Introduction is also a good resource that explains concepts in a more beginner-friendly way, and it has a link to a training adventure game that you might find useful. --GoneIn60 (talk) 16:50, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
