Hello

Hello Lego! Nice to see you back! How was the trip/vacation? Well, I have a small question. How do we use the phrase "peace of mind" in a sentence? "Yoga gave him a peace of mind" or some other way? Novice7 (talk) 10:53, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Trip was fine, going away again soon. For the phrase you can use it like, "Practicing yoga offered him peace of mind". — Legolas (talk2me) 11:14, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Back to work, I guess? Glad to know the trip was fine :) Thanks for clearing my doubt Lego =) Novice7 (talk) 11:32, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi, one more question. Martina McBride released a single titled "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" a few weeks ago. Some fansites claim that the album would also be titled I'm Gonna Love You Through It. The song has already charted on the Country Songs chart, and if, the album is also titled I'm Gonna Love You Through It, how can I identify the primary topic> I've read before that the album is usually the primary topic... Thanks, Novice7 (talk) 11:54, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Yes, the album is always the precedent topic, hence wait for official confirmation. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:58, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Avi! See ya around :) Novice7 (talk) 12:02, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Madonna UK year-end sales

You have engaged in edit-warring on the articles Hard Candy, Celebration and Confessions on a Dance Floor. As pointed out on the discussion page of each article (which you have so far ignored) www.ukchartsplus.co.uk are not an official UK charts website and therefore cannot be used a valid source for end-of-year sales (their own website makes it clear they are not part of the UK's Official Charts Company). The British Phonographic Industry track sales of records in the UK as they are the official recording industry authority. They certify records based on tracked sales and also prepare official end-of-year charts for the industry. They are the only source that can be used for such claims. 88.104.25.59 (talk) 12:06, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

The UKChartsPlus publishes the Year-end charts in accordance to the OCC, this is the same chart that is published in Music Week, in NME and in Mojo also. The BPI do not certify records based on track sales, they are strictly on shipments. Get your facts straight before making unnecessary edits. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:09, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
UKchartsplus.co.uk actually state on their own website that the end-of-year charts are their own publication (http://www.ukchartsplus.co.uk/year_end_2010.htm). They are an unofficial charts website who are run by "four chartwatchers" (i.e. music fans). They have nothing to do with the Official Charts Company, Music Week, or the British Phonographic Industry, and are therefore not a valid source for sales claims. And it is you who should get your facts straight before you start edit warring. Again. 88.104.25.59 (talk) 12:14, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
If you want I can direct you to WP:CHARTS where you can clarify this for once and for all. And no, the BPI is for shipments not sales. Again, get your facts right. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:17, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm afraid you are still wrong and WP:CHARTS is not applicable in this matter because there is nothing there about year-end charts which is the issue here (nor is UKchartsplus.co.uk on the approved list of sources). The BPI track both shipments and sales, and their Top 40 all time best sellers will show this. Robbie Williams' "I've Been Expecting You" has been certified 10x Platinum by the BPI (3 million copies shipped by 2004) but actual sales are only 2.56 million as listed in their most recent top 40 all-time best sellers list in 2009 (http://www.bpi.co.uk/assets/files/top%2040%20albums.pdf). They track both shipments and retail sales. You will see a similar disparity between certified shipments and actual sales on that list. You need to do your homework. 88.104.25.59 (talk) 12:29, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
You either go there and raise a request at the talk page for ChartPlus else stop copy pasting the same content in my talk page and in the concerned topic talk pages. Got it? — Legolas (talk2me) 12:32, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

hey

Just a quick question. Can you still nominate a topic for Good Topic status if you promoted all but one GA to GA status? Or do you have to solely make every article in the topic a GA in order to nominate for a GA Topic? Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 18:48, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Not necessary, but it is good practice to notify the primary contributors of the articles that you haven't promoted to GA, while you are raising a GTC. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:52, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, because apart from the Loud Tour, which can't really be a GAN yet for obvious reasons, I would have promoted every article to do with Loud to GA apart from What's My Name?, which would become a total of 8 out of 9 articles. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 15:44, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
It's recommended to take out a PR on any articles that cannot be GA or FA yet, per 3.c. —Andrewstalk 04:39, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Maybe the Loud Tour can't be a GA yet because it's still ongoing, but it can certainly be expanded and brought to a good level (not where it is now). Also, "What's My Name" should definitely be turned into a GA. Most people will oppose even if it isn't required. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 08:33, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Erm, What's My Name? is a GA, but it wasn't me who promoted, didn't you check the article before writing here? And yes I know the Loud Tour can be expanded between now and December. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 11:05, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey

Thanks so much for the barnstar! :) DAP388 (talk) 04:32, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

So

Long time no talk. Have I missed anything interesting in the past five months? — ξxplicit 04:34, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Fight time

Thanks for the review. Was the fight incident during the awards ceremony you were referring to between Eminem and Bruno, or have there been others? I just wonder how relevant that scene was to the award itself, rather than just that ceremony. —Andrewstalk 07:26, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm talking about spoofs of the fights nominated, then the winners enacting the fight scenes etc. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:47, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

UKmix

yes i'm the one who is ashish. are you also on ukmix? Ashishvats23 ([[User talk::Ashishvats23|talk]]) 08:46, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Nah, I just see their laughs. — Legolas (talk2me) 15:29, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Shania videos

Does this count as a video album (it came with her perfume). What about this? The title says it all. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 19:24, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Looks like a promo release to accompany the perfume. Don't trust Amazon for official releases unless its listed in her record company websites. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:26, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, it did come with her perfume, what does that make it? And how did you find the Top Music Video rankings for Ciao Italia or the other video work you've done. I can't seem to find it for Up! Live in Chicago. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 06:53, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Well Billboard used to publish the Top Music Videos chart in their magazine, but stopped in 1999. Hence Up! Live won't be present in the magazine. You can only find it now in Billboard.biz. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:55, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Is Billboard.biz still free? -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 07:15, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Nope, though I wish it was. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:19, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Uuuuuggghhh, it's pretty much the only thing I'm missing. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 07:29, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Who can find that sort of information? I desperately need it. o.O -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 08:27, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Anyone with access to BBbiz.com. — Legolas (talk2me) 08:35, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Oops, maybe I didn't explain myself right, who has a paid account to search for the information with liberty. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 08:39, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
As far as I know, its only me and Ericorbit here. — Legolas (talk2me) 08:50, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
Will you please do me the favor looking up just the debut, peak, and total weeks on chart? I'm so sorry, but I really need it. Look at the improvement. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 21:25, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

(→) OK here it goes. This link shows that Up! Live debuted at #3 on the Top Music Videos Chart on December 12, 2003 and reached the peak of #2 two weeks later. It was present for 14 weeks. This link shows that the video entered the chart again at #18 for 1 week on March 12, 2005. For both links, after formatting you need to add {{subscription required}} template. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:48, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. You're always a great help and an amazing editor here in Wikipedia. I really think that the article can now be GA. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 05:02, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Twitter

I don't see anything wrong with using Gaga's Twitter feed as a source about Gaga and her work. See WP:TWITTER. —Andrewstalk 09:31, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Its not a reliable source and I never add any info from Twitter, Facebook or any other SPS, unless its an official representation for the person. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:40, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
But surely being published by Gaga herself is acceptable. Especially if you attribute "Gaga Tweeted blahblahblah". —Andrewstalk 09:45, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

FLC Kamal Haasan

Yup I'm confused. I had listed this article at GOCE and User:Diannaa really worked on ref. formatting. I still dont understand what's that you are expecting. --Commander (Ping Me) 11:17, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

I have commented already that dont hard code url names in the work parameters. There are still so many wrong reference formatting. Try to see similar award lists and see how their references are formatted. For eg: List of awards and nominations received by Madonna. — Legolas (talk2me) 11:23, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi Lego, I thought of asking you before doing this since you're in charge of the Madonna articles, but I figured I'd just go for it. :P Xwomanizerx (talk) 00:39, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Re: Well

Aww thanks for the message and sorry it took so long to respond! Since I've stopped editing so frequently I've superseded that time crying at really sad tv episodes, caught more than 600 gnats (!!!) and a mouse. That was probably TMI =P. So lol yeah, I definitely have come to start rethinking my semi-leave. I've been editing more and more each day. And even if I do later choose to retire fully, you have my word that I'll come back just to make W.E.'s award list FL status =). Crystal Clear x3 08:18, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

That's like the Crystal I know! Atta gorl! — Legolas (talk2me) 12:33, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi Legolas, Hope all is well. I am revamping the Something to Remember article and I had a quick question, with tracks like "I'll Remember" and "This Used to Be My Playground" should I include them under the sub-heading New Material as technically they have never been featured on a Madonna record (which I have made a note of anyhow) or should I include them in the general music area. Thanks --FeuDeJoie (talk) 22:07, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

General music area, they weren't new material. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:33, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
Sweet. Thanks --FeuDeJoie (talk) 13:41, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to keep bothering you, but in-between the Madonna album article, I want to start developing Christina Aguilera articles and i'm struggling to find references. Is there a better way to search for information rather than looking through pages of Google for hours? Thanks, --FeuDeJoie (talk) 22:55, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
Yes library archives and the books present there. Go to your local public library. — Legolas (talk2me) 02:06, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, never thought of that --FeuDeJoie (talk) 21:25, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

children of celebrities

At what point does someone like Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon or Ava Elizabeth Sambora deserve there own articles. Ava just landed a cameo role in a film, and of course, you know all about Lourdes. I wouldn't mind starting an article, but I don't want to jump the gun and get it rejected or deleted. BollyJeff || talk 15:56, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Lourdes can get her own article when she is officially credited for her role in W.E. The "Material Girl" clothing line is not her own venture, its a joint one with Madonna, that hinders its notability. This goes for Ava also, she joined the cast but there's no confirmation as to whether her role is enough to be officially credited. We are dealing with crystal here more than notability. — Legolas (talk2me) 16:08, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Welcome

Back you little traveler :P So you still haven't done the Valentines move for me dah'lin, I'm still waiting ;) Also, I know you are busy over-hauling the LAP singles (oh, "Cherish" is next!) but all the Mimi singles are GA or nomed, except for... wait for it... yup, you guessed it, "It's Like That", your favorite Mimi song :) Just wondering now, will the project be graced with your editing soon? :D--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:05, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

If you look at your previous thread I asked you whether Valentines move was done. Since you didn't reply I thought the move was done. You did a marvelous job on the EOM articles. I will start on ILT after "Cherish" is done. (What's with the dah'ling? Lol)Legolas (talk2me) 05:24, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Me too. I actually adore Mimi with straight hair and big earrings. Shows her more in her R&B roots. I simply hate her looks during the VOL days. Rainbow wasn't any better also. — Legolas (talk2me) 16:56, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
I feel you there lol. I love her in 1995-98, he looked her best, preferably 1997-98. In 99-00 she gained weight and got blonder :S and in 2001 she went totally blond and but her beautiful long hair shoulder length--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:00, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
She should really do something about her oompa-loompas though. REcent pics she looks beautiful but if she doesnt pay attention to them boobies, she will take Aretha's route. Unless Nick reduces them with his bored and pressed ass soul. — Legolas (talk2me) 17:06, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi Legolas. I hope you are doing great. When we format references, what should be the publisher for MTV News? Jivesh Talk2Me 17:18, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Invite to WikiConference India 2011

Hi Legolas2186,

The First WikiConference India is being organized in Mumbai and will take place on 18-20 November 2011.
You can see our Official website, the Facebook event and our Scholarship form.

But the activities start now with the 100 day long WikiOutreach.

As you are part of WikiProject India community we invite you to be there for conference and share your experience. Thank you for your contributions.

We look forward to see you at Mumbai on 18-20 November 2011

Obviously. — Legolas (talk2me) 17:29, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Mind giving the article another look over? Most of the issues you addressed have been fixed. nding·start 03:15, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

I will look over it in my own time as I have countless other FLCs to look to. Thanks for notifying though Zach. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:16, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Okay, take your time, there's no rush. :) I just say you nominated "Like a Prayer" for GA. Good luck with it! :) I don't see many issues being addressed. :L No probs. nding·start 03:18, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
Except that I dont want a crappy "OK no issues, passing it! Congrats!" review, but that's probably all I will get. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:20, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
It depends if you get someone good reviewing it, really. :P Just hope that it isn't... Oops. nding·start 03:33, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
What exactly do you mean by this: "When you add CITEKILL please use a heading for the reference." I've never used citekill before, so I'm not really sure what you're saying. nding·start 19:35, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
A heading pertaining to what the CITEKILL references are about. Take for example List of awards and nominations received by Madonna. — Legolas (talk2me) 19:36, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

Questionable GA review practices

You are invited to join the discussion at User_talk:Two_Hearted_River/Sandbox3. You are receiving this message because you are one of the twelve editors I have identified concerning questionable GA review practices. Two Hearted River (paddle / fish) 03:56, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

What do you want me to say? I knew this was going on for a long time that's why I stopped GA reviewing altogether. But as you can see, initiating any kind of responsive and collateral review practice only makes me the bad guy who is biased and so and so. I had raised this issue much much before (before you were active) with Tbhotch and Lil-unique1, and it had stopped, but its starting/started again. I really like what you have done here to initiate these statistics. We do need some kind of formal banning here. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:04, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Just participate in the discussion, and we'll move on to the next step in the dispute resolution process if necessary. Thanks. Two Hearted River (paddle / fish) 04:09, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Russia

Hi Avi. Any ideas why all of the Russian certification pages on E=MC2, Hard Candy etc. are all not working? :S--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 07:08, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

NFPP are changing their website. Just have to wait. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:21, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
By the way, as I told you before, I hope the discussion of these GAs does not bare any ill-will, as I do not wish that. I just want to make that clear. In my opinion, the GA discussion is for all of us, not just you, me and Calvin. And I don't think its a problem on Wikiprojects, the way to fix it will have to be some ban as THR explained. Maybe that we can't review any of our peers articles? I think a large guide-line like that is harsh, but better in the long run to avoid these discussions. You ight?--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 07:25, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
You wanted to take Mimi articles to FA right? Believe me, this will super-duperbly benefit your nomination then. I have been closely watching the FAC for sometime now (one of the reason why I haven't submitted anything), and I see that music articles are gradually turning away people who claim its just written by bunch of youngsters. I feel its wrong, it should change and this is a big step towards that change. GOCE is just useless so I was thinking how can we better ourselves, all of us? This will be a beginning. — Legolas (talk2me) 07:45, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I completely agree. I find it sad our music articles can pass GA, get reviewed by the GOCE, and not even make a decent shot at FAC. I mean, hell, that's the regular process, its like leaving high school and no college will accept you because you're not at the level. I agree, and know that. I haven't submitted anything either, and won't until Mimi is copy-edited, I look it over carefully again and reviewed. Lets hope that from now on, GA won't be something so laughable, that in truth, doesn't even come close to FA. And sadly, yes, none of the music related FAs have even got close to passing, and they are written by younger editors, so it bothers me that when one is nominated, they are viewed like an under-prepared hassle automatically. Lets, as you said, hope for a new beginning.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 08:03, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

Clarification

This is regarding my FLC which was recently failed. Can you elaborate more on the "Work" and "publisher" parameters. --Commander (Ping Me) 09:37, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

First of all, DONOT hard code urls like "www.hindustantimes.com" in the references. Second of all, use {{cite web}} or {{cite news}} or any other templates always. Lastly, I will explain the work parameters with example. For eg: Any news at this site is the work of Hindustan Times, while HT Media Group is the one who publishes this. Hence work would be Hindustan Times and publisher would be HT Media Group. Easiest way to find publishers is to go to their wiki page and see it. Some websites like NDTV etc are publishing their own material themselves, hence those would be placed directly in the publisher parameter. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:52, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

"Like a Prayer"

It's currently at GAN. Perhaps after the review. hihi. --Efe (talk) 02:17, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Ha! Good idea. But I think your nominating it to GAN isn't that good. That's huge and (IMO) fails GAC #3. Its not necessary that you have to have the article go though GAN. When you feel its nearing FA status, just skip GA. What you need though are expert's hands to, well, butcher the article but for the good. Usually, FAC #1a is the most hard to satisfy. But if you feel you still want to have it at GAN, go ahead. Maybe it'll work. Just as you wanted it to. --Efe (talk) 02:44, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
I've had the article in my watchlist. Just so you know. hihi. --Efe (talk) 14:27, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Maybe in the weekend I could use some edit buttons. I was just able to log in tonight because I came home from office early. --Efe (talk) 14:32, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
That's even better. Wi-Fi. Is it for free? --Efe (talk) 14:43, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Really? That must be cool. --Efe (talk) 14:51, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Haha. Get out of that place! Joke! Maybe that will improve in the future. --Efe (talk) 15:02, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Scope row

Do you, by any chance, know how to use the scope="row" thing for tables with {{singlechart}}? I've tried it but I failed. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 17:33, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Alright, I did the commercial charts and you did the release dates table. I don't have to do this for the awards and nods table do I? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 18:02, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

When you have the time, an opinion would be appreciated

Hi, I came across you and the dispute with Lupus on one of the boards, probably AN, and looking into it I saw there was some warring going on about the inclusion of (spurious) genres for Madonna's first album. I recently spent a good while removing "Dark cabaret" and "Indie pop" from all of the Antony and the Johnsons articles and today I discovered this "sub-genre" Dream pop.

Could you take a look at the article and what I posted on the talk page, please? I was particularly interested in your edit summaries concerning All Music and their reliability for sourcing genres. To me this is a totally artificial lumping together of a million and one bands under an artificial label which I had never heard of until today and I (have) listen(ed) to several of the groups on that page, Sigur Ros, Cocteau Twins, The Flaming Lips, without having ever encountered this term. What do you make of all this and what would you do? Cheers. CaptainScreebo Parley! 19:51, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

My point exactly regarding Allmusic. Although an extremely reliable source for music, AMG clubs the overall genre of an artist or an act, to represent its specific works. There are countless examples I can give. Seeing your summary, you were right to dissuade others from adding it, it seems to be a cultivated genre. — Legolas (talk2me) 14:13, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

ARIA Hitseekers

Hey, should ARIA Hitseekers be listed in the charts section? I'm doing a GA review and have searched over Wikipedia:Record charts and the MOS, but didn't find anything. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 01:01, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
Can you see my question in the You and I talk? People say it was already released as single. Is it true? Ofekalef (talk) 18:06, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

It is available for download, but not as a single, as an album track only. The "Release date" field in the infobox relates to its release as a "single", which is August 23, 2011, the date it is added to radio playlists. Hence its correct only. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:33, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Fever (Kylie Minogue) to GA status

I read the whole article about Madonna in July 2011, and you did great work getting it to Featured Article (FA) status. Even you had a big time promoting Ray of Light to Good Article status. Indeed, you're a hard working Wikipedia user.

My username is Anger-Cola, and hello Legolas2186, so anyways, are you still working on getting Fever (Kylie Minogue album) to GA status? I did a peer review of Metallica (album) just before I turned it into a Good Article Nominee (GAN). How about you do a peer review of the Fever article first, then nominate it for GA status. A\/\93r-(0la 23:15, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm not associated with Fever I'm afraid. Please ask User:Cprice1000. — Legolas (talk2me) 02:57, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Well, okay. You don't have to promote Fever to GA status, but I may do so in the future. Do you prefer Madonna over Kylie Minogue, or like both? A\/\93r-(0la 03:06, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Like both of them, give preference to Madonna. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:10, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the comment. I may plan to promote Erotica, Bedtime Stories, Music and American Life to Good Article status, while you review those articles when I nominated them. A\/\93r-(0la 03:12, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, me being part of the Madonna wikiproject, I won't be reviewing them, ever. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:19, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
I notice, you won't review those articles. I read your DYK? article about "Express Yourself", and it's a intresting article. If you ever promoted Like a Prayer to GA status, you have to get all of its singles to GA first? A\/\93r-(0la 03:35, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, if you are interested you can join the Madonna WikiProject. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:03, 18 August 2011 (UTC)

Warning not to engage in personal attacks

Based on diffs seen here and here, you've engaged in personal attacks which are unacceptable. It's perfectly fine to criticize another editor's behavior or actions, but attacking the editor directly is not allowed. I'm not part of any "civility police" but specifically calling someone a "prat" or an "idiot" is straying into harassment territory. Further attacks directly against editors can and will result in a block. -- Atama 00:22, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Hmmm, so late? — Legolas (talk2me) 02:26, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Better late than never. I was actually alerted because of some more recent friction between yourself and a different editor. In that case I pointed out that your comments to them might have been a bit brusque or colorful, but not out of line (for example, they misinterpreted "dumb" as an implication that they were "stupid", when I pointed out that you meant "mute"). But in looking into the matter I saw the older interactions, which were also reported at WP:WQA earlier, and I felt they merited a warning. -- Atama 03:05, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Yes Atama, and I apologize for the former, I was just thinking why the late notice. Thanks anyways. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:21, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey

I was just reading The Fame Monster and the first paragraph of the background section is confusing. I was going to try to fix it myself, but I'm not really aware of what was going on. So, just letting you know, as you've worked a lot on the article.

During the collaborative launch of her similarly titled headphones with Dr. Dre, Gaga commented that she planned to release a new album and said: "I think re-releases are unfair, [...] -- A new album and a re-release is not the same thing. And when she first mentioned a new album, she didn't say it was a re-release.

Regarding the title The Fame Monster, Gaga said that it was a coincidence that the name was similar to the headphones she launched called "Heartbeats." -- How the hell is "Heartbeats" similar to "The Fame Monster"?

status ϟ talk 02:45, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

That should have been Monster Heartbeats, how the hell it changed? There in lies the similarity. — Legolas (talk2me) 03:23, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Talk:Like a Virgin/GA2

Hi Lego. Both are correct, but one must be deleted. First, Talk:Like a Virgin/GA2 was created earlier than Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Like a Virgin/1, which I think was just a copy paste move from the former. The former is for individual reassessment, while the latter is for communal (see Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/guidelines). Please tell the nominator which one to delete. Thanks. --Efe (talk) 12:55, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

IMO, the community reassessment page must be deleted. Based on the guidelines, GAR (community) must be used when there was no consensus reached by the involved editors. Seeing that it was only created yesterday, the second copy-and-paste move must be deleted. Also, Peter had a comment there (history page). I suggest you tag the other one. Thanks Lego. --Efe (talk) 13:16, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
With respect to the nominator, I feel you must wait for his comment. Anyway, you could use Template:Db-g6 (with the rationale). --Efe (talk) 13:27, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi Legolas. I'm at loss what to do (if to execute deletion) after I saw your incivility on the page. I have reported your behavior at ANI. Please don't take this personal. You are a great editor. Only that sometimes you get carried away. --Efe (talk) 13:56, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

Oh I totally agree. The movie was not the best, I mean the series. Yes, she froze and broke into pieces? WTF? I wanted an epic "Avada Kedavra" drop dead scene. And yes, another 30 minutes of brute battle would have been nice. Totally agree there.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 12:55, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

I hated him in POA, kinda started to accept him from OOTP. — Legolas (talk2me) 13:02, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
So I guess that this confirms that I am one of the few people not to see HP8 yet lol. If you go out to the movies this summer, I highly recommend you see RotA, that movie was exceptional, especially since its trailer made it look so misleading and kinda bad!
It seems that a movie making over 1 billion use to mean something a few years ago. Now, due to the terrible invention know as 3-D, all movies are doing. And really bad ones too (I'm thinking of you, Transformers 3!). 3-D is a real slap in the face to the cinema of film because 98% of the films that have it don't even need it. It's just a cash grab. I mean, what other reason could their be for making The Great Gatsby in 3-D. So the audience can have a wine glass thrown in their face? /rant over =D. Crystal Clear x3 03:15, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
Completely agree with everything you said. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:44, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Something to Remember

Sorry to bug you again!! But im really stuck on the commercial reception section for Madonna's Something to Remember there is practically no information on US apart from peak positions, I would really appreciate it if you could help, I am revamping it in my sandbox... User:Spiceitup08/sandbox!

There are lots of paraphrasing going on I saw which doesn't make for smooth transition from section to section. I will remove them as I edit. And Nathan, see MOS:IMAGES, we are not supposed to hardcode default the size as not every reader views WP with the same screen resolution. What you can do is crop some of these images for making MC come to the front, rather than a distant pic. Ask Novice, he will understand what to do, or direct him to me. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:14, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
I know how don't worry. We'll get to that when we're done :) Its just that those pictures are set to a great size (I've compared it on several monitors logged in and off, and it looks good and fits great. But making them small, you can barely see them :S. Anyway, go take a look, just don't shave off too much. Thanks a lot! I'm glad the bio is finally under control! And I didn't paraphrase. In fact, I wrote it all by memory, and then added the page numbers at the end, so that shouldn't be an issue. Its all my own words.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 12:17, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
You missed my point. We are NOT supposed to hardcode image sizes. That's why I asked you, lets resize them. Most of them show a random blank stage or screens instead of focusing on Mimi. They will of course look great on small resolution, but that's not the point of including the images. It pushes and squeezes text to one side, breaks sections and even intervenes with its alt text. Ask Novice, he will know. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:26, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
I got that. I'm saying though we'll solve the photo issue after the article is done. Also, I was wondering WTF was up with Madge's country crap for the whole Music era?--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 00:49, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
Country? She has never done country. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:46, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

Until Interscope confirms or a CD single is released or an iTunes add, we are waiting per WP:OR. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:27, 21 August 2011 (UTC)

That would have been the case when the cover was not from the horse's mouth. But the cover has been posted by Gaga herself, and is validated by Interscope. This is not a case of WP:OR. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:46, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
