A tag has been placed on Bible translations into Ladakhi, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. This is my first article which I have placed on Wikipedia. When I saw that the section which discussed Bible translations by language was not complete specifically with regard to Ladakhi so I tried to place an article into that section. I inserted the article in the morning and had not finished it. When I was asked to put in references by Wikipedia, I did it quickly and obviously didn't do it properly and adhere to the guidelines of Wikipedia. I will try to correct that tonight and place the proper referencing without giving the suggestion of advertising.

I have done some citing to the references which I had used in writing this article. I've have deleted the reference to Google Play regarding the Ladakhi Bible app. I have left the citation referring to the web site www.ladakhibible.org because in the news Tab of that web site it mentions that the current project is translating the New Testament into the Spoken language of [[1]], in the Zhung/Leh Dialect.

I'm willing to do whatever editing is needed to fulfil the requirements of Wikipedia in order to keep this article.

In the last 2 days I've made some major additions to the article regarding "Bible translations in Ladakhi". I believe they are unique and new and beneficial to those who are interested in Bible Translations. I hope the changes/additions I have done will help to keep this article in Wikipedia Ladakh Bible (talk) 14:51, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I used the language data from Ethnologue and plotted the location of the Western Tibetan languages on a contour map. Ethonologue data is free to use by the public. I've listed the page where that is discussed. Even though that is so I will also go and ask Ethnologue for the use of this data (plotted on contoured maps). Once I have obtain this permission I will put it on the data page for this jpg file Ladakh Bible (talk) 13:08, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with File:Western Tibetan Languages found in India and Pakistan.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Western Tibetan Languages found in India and Pakistan.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 07:17, 10 January 2021 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --TheImaCow (talk) 07:17, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
