I didn't make the edit about the family crest; that was made by an anonymous user who has only made that single edit on Wikipedia (see here). If you feel that this fact is questionable, and it doesn't have a source listed, by all means delete it. Better yet, investigate it and add correct info with a source.

My mother is a Behnke, and that side of her family is from upstate NY. Any chance we are related?

For future reference, when you contact an user on their talk page, the convention is to add your comments at the bottom of the page.
