Book Character Pages

Sorry, I wasn't aware that I had to have the whole page written up before I created it; I figured I could ticker on it and "build" it. As for having a "Characters" main page like you were suggesting, I was going to do just that, using the page created for the Stargate Film Novels as the root. As for the books, it doesn't matter if they weren't very popular and not a lot of people know about them; that's all the more reason to add them to Wikipedia, so that we can present as much information as possible.

Also...I get the vague feeling that you're intentionally trying to harrass me whenever I edit ANYTHING film-related. Look, if you want to like SG-1 I don't give a damn, but I'm allowed to like the film and give as much information on it as possible. If you're truly "not biased," then why support a monopoly of SG-1 over the Stargate universe, giving NO coverage to the film?? You may not actually be doing that, but is sure as hell seems like it. And since the film books aren't even canon (yet), then why are you so touchy about those, too?? Jaffa

In the Jaffa page, it claims that the Jaffa are genetically human, their ancestors being normal humans who were modified by the Goa'uld to service as warriors and incubators for their young (which never made sense to me...why put your kids inside your cannon fodder?!? The movie's universe makes SOO much more sense...). Anyway, I was wondering if you could tell me where and when that has ever been established, because I'VE never heard that before, and if it's not true, I think it should be taken off of the "Jaffa" page. --Promus Kaa 05:35, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Sophia Stewart

If she had won her case then you could say the things you are, but a judge heard her out and she lost. The funny thing is that she lost because she couldn't even file the paperwork on time, so I guess she didn't take the whole thing that seriously. Please stop adding in the POV stuff you are. A judge can very easily be corrupt -- as can lawyers. Personally, I think you should rely on her text which was obviously plagiarized rather than the results of a potentially corrupt judge and her incompetent lawyers. Did you know that one of the Wachowski's lawyers was the judges son but the judge would not recuse himself? In any case... I don't need a judge to realize her work was plagiarized and neither would anyone else who read her text instead of just claiming that she wasn't plagiarized because the courts said so. She continues to seek legal recourse and she continues to use the name of of the Matrix without being told not to -- because if they sued her and tried to issue a cease and desist order -- THEY'D LOSE THEMSELVES -- and not because of some technicality either. For one thing, I am obviously not alone in the realization that the Wachowski brothers plagiarized. For another... majority opinion does not change the facts. At the very least YOU should read that which you are editing about or you are doing so with no first-hand knowledge and thus are clearly doing so out of ignorance. What you are essentially saying is that they (the Wachowski's) did not plagiarize because someone else told you so and that's all the proof you need. Read her story and then you would be fit to edit and and stand in judgement over this issue -- until then you are just preserving the status quo to make the fanboys and the people with the best lawyers happy.

Batman

I have now cited sources for my Batman section: "Batman as a villain". The talk section of that page provides more information. Mining and Oil refining (and drilling) are not environmentally sound practices and have been drawn into attention by the likes of Poison Ivy (an extreme environmentalist) in the movie Batman&Robin. If claims that they ARE green practices is allowed then I can't understand why counter-claims can't be made -- especially when a character in the DC universe has drawn attention to them. Wayne Enterprises DOES engage in the manufacture and distribution of advanced miliatry equiptment (that's how Batman gets his toys) and this behaviour is also of dubious moral character. The Joker claims that Batman pushed him into the vat of chemicals (although this is disputed) and several villians formerly worked for Wayne Enterprises.

Excuse me, but I thought I cited two movies (at least) for this information on Batman -- are they not valid sources?

Frankly I think you are mixing up your emotions over the Matrix/Sophia Stewart edits. I HAVE CITED SOURCES (movies, animated series) and also used examples relying upon common knowledge about the Batman universe that most people with slightest idea of Batman know about. You act as if you want me to cite a reference where Batman tells the Joker that he is his enemy.
