Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button 
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:16, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Semiotics of bullying....
Hi KK McBride, I had to delete the section you inserted regarding the "Semiotics" of bullying for some of the following reasons:
- Much of the wording was frankly quite confusing. For example, you wrote, "According to Hermogenes, the word 'bully' is a linguistic sign based on the relationship between the word and what it represents." Now the word "Bully" did not exist in the time of Hermogenes, yet your assertion here strongly implies that Hermogenes specifically discussed or wrote about the word. You may have meant something else here, but I don't know for sure. A good edit shouldn't force a reader to have to do mental summersaults to try to figure out what exactly, you really meant. This sentence, and many other similar sentences in the former "Semiotics" section were simply confusing.
- Many of the facts that you summarized in this section were already covered in other sections of the Bullying article, making your repetition of these facts a difficult read for a typical reader. For example, you wrote that, "Bully's are able to gain power over individuals and is usually associated with an imbalance of power." Now in this sentence, not only is there poor grammar usage, but the fact that bullying is associated with an imbalance of power is redundant, as it is already mentioned in the article lead.
- Your footnotes were often redundant (you need to use ibid type references whenever two different references within a Wikipedia article refer to the same reference article).
The "Semiotics" section that you added seemed to be primarily about Katherine Liepe-Levinson's and Martin H. Levinson's "General Semantics" approach to dealing with bullying. While the "General Semantics" approach to the bullying problem may deserve some brief discussion in the article, whatever reference to it is made in the article would best be brief, pithy and to the point, and probably should not bloat the article by an additional 30%, since I don't think that 30% of bullying research these days is related to the "General Semantics" approach to bullying. I hope that you might be able to reduce your Semiotics section down to perhaps one simple well written and properly footnoted paragraph.
I know this may seem like asking a lot of you, but I think you could do this if you tried, and I would be willing to try to help you with this if you wanted.
