Online learning in higher education

There's no reason why you couldn't create an article focussing on online learning in higher education. Now I wouldn't recommend doing that by de-merging the online learning article from the edtech article. Instead, I'd look at the Educational_technology#Higher_education section as your starting point. Can you expand the topic significantly beyond what's in that section? (I think yes.) If so, then you should feel free to spin off a daughter article about the topic.

You could, of course, propose splitting the edtech article into two - one on technology, one on learning. And while I think that would be a valid project, it's a much bigger project. But the place to propose that split would probably be Talk:Educational technology. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:23, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Excellent, thank you. Is there a resource I can look at for creating a daughter article? Or, would I just create a new article and edit in a link on the Educational_technology#Higher_education? Thanks for your help! KarinSpader (talk) 16:27, 11 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ian (Wiki Ed) I am a little confused, is this online learning in higher education created so that I can start to write the article right there? Also, if I use the suggested Special approach is it easier to work with another editor? We are doing this as a class project. Thanks for your help. You can just create a new article, and add a link from the higher ed section. I would strongly recommend that you start the article in your sandbox, and then move it to "online learning in higher education" once you feel confident that it's complete enough to go "live". You can work collaboratively with your classmates in your sandbox. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:33, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
