IBS Group Holding Ltd.
Hello, I have a question, you've deleted IBS Group page, I believe you did it with racialist intention, as IBS Group being the largest Russian based IT Company. If we take for instance such IT companies as: Logica PLC, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Atos all of mentioned companies have their company profiles on your Wikipedia. The page was rewritten couple of time so that it fits in line with the Wikipedia policy, what is more interesting it was revised by moderators of Wikipedia couple of times, where none of them had found any sign of SPAM, I understand if you would edits IBS Groups page, at least it would look as you are interested in keeping the article, but by deleting it…. Taking into account what I've just mentioned, i believe the deletion of IBS Groups page was made with the intention to damage their right of free speech, if you believe that IBS Groups page was spam, than please be so kind delete the pages of companies mentioned above, their structure and content is same as it was in IBS Groups page. - It was a lovingly crafted advertisement. You would realise this if you had any involvement in Wikipedia other than promoting what one can only assume is your company. I am an equal opportunities admin: I hate spammers of all nationalities equally. You may also be interested in WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS; note that asserting parity with household names is one of the surest signs of a promotional agenda. Guy (Help!) 12:44, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

- See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. The problem is that you wrote an advertisement, apparently for your own company as you have no other interest on Wikipedia. Guy (Help!) 15:18, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- You are pointing out the fact that page was written as an advertisement, I've used peer group company pages to write IBS Group page - i was inspired by the Company and their impact on IT industry in Russia! Company has Wikipedia page on Russian as well! In addition to that wrote another page for Alexander Muzicenko, an Olympic champion in 1980 Olympics. Hence that, you can’t provide with the evidence that this page was written as an advert. But what you do is just delete it, because apparently it looks like an advertisement! How does page of Infosys doesn’t look like an advertisement, when Infosys has more than 100'000 employees who fill community sites with advert information. As i said in the beginning of our conversation, If you would at least tried to change something in the article it would seem as you are interested, but when you just delete the article referring to adv. rules, looks unfair for me! With such logic, you should delete all the company web pages as all of them somewhere have an advertisement. - Literally hundreds of articles a day are created about businesses by someone with an obvious conflict of interest and are then subsequently deleted. I always live by a simple rule on Wikipedia: "Never work on an article concerning a subject you are passionate about." To some people, especially people that are new to the project, this seems almost absurd - you are here because you WANT to write about things that mean something to you. However, the fact that I only work on articles I'm dispassionate about means that I can look at them completely objectively because I honestly DON'T CARE about anything other than the article being the best quality I'm capable of making it... the content is irrelevant. This is the antithesis to what you are doing, and precisely why we frown on people creating an account just to write an article about their company, their band, their mom, their high school, etc - because it's very hard to maintain neutrality in the matter. Hell, if you can come up with a list of references for the company and Guy here is willing to userfy the article, I will help you to write it in a matter that isn't promotional in nature. (never be afraid to ask for help and collaborate on a project, especially with someone who has been around the block once or twice.) I've already googled the company and I'm not convinced it's notable, but I'd be willing to give it a run and see if we can find something. Trusilver 17:18, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

- Ah. I just love corporate promotion spammers. I'll take the high school kids making articles about their garage band any day. They don't listen to reason either, but they get bored faster too. Trusilver 15:36, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Nomination of Crank sensor for deletion

Any ideas what to do with this? It may have qualified for A3 when first posted. I never feel comfortable moving a user's work to their userspace, leaving a redirect from mainspace to userspace, then nominating for WP:R2. I also don't like the idea of waiting until, "the end of October" but also don't want to bite someone new who's obviously taking a lot of time to write an article. - Userfy it, remove the redirect, tell the user what you've done and point him to a Wikiproject where he can get some help with the content, is what I'd do. It's the right thing. Most times when I do this the user understands the reason and is not offended. The rest are spammers ;-) Guy (Help!) 17:42, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
