Jsp100 Peer Review
With strengths, I believe that the proposed section on intersectionality is a really great idea and a strength of the article. It applies important information that we’ve learned in the class, but it also connects really well with the topic that highlights a contrast to the single-axis framework of white feminism. Although, intersectionality is touched on in the original article’s section on” 21st century intersectional feminism,” so it’s probably best to avoid being repetitive.
With potential changes, I know that the article now has a section on “Black feminist icons” in the article. I wonder what the reason for this is? I am not sure if that necessarily fits into an article on White feminism. I understand that it’s important to highlight intersectionality and perhaps important figures that contributed to that movement but an emphasis on only specifically black feminist icons seems out of place and perhaps should be more generalized. I am just wondering how this would integrate well with the rest of the piece? I think considering changing the title and making it focus on people who have contributed to intersectionality feminism in general could be helpful.
I know that there is a plan to expand on white feminism in the American legal system. This sounds really interesting. I am wondering if you are planning to use more sources than just the one listed (in that section). I think using more sources in general throughout the piece could allow for more perspectives that could further develop the article. In addition, I think more images and greater visual organization could further strengthen the article. I think at the moment the article is underdeveloped, though the article is on the right track.
