Surrealism link
Hello.
I noticed you have done some work on the Surrealism page, so I thought I'd pass some info onto you, and request a little guidance in this matter.
I was contacted a couple of months ago by MODERNIST about including my site, [surrealism-plays.com], as a link on the Surrealism page. I am a writer who has studied surrealism for more than 20 years now, and I decided to convert a site my publisher had set up for me into a resource for people getting into surrealism and avant-garde theatre. The site includes an enormous amount of info on Surrealism, and I've received emails from individuals all over the world thanking me for taking the time to put the site together.
I invited MODERNIST to take a look at the site to see if he felt it was appropriate for Wikipedia. If so, I told him he was welcome to add it as a link on the Surrealism page. He responded that the site was extremely informative and added it.
I've been contacted recently by a number of people who informed me that after a couple of months on the Surrealism page, the link to my site was removed by REPUBLICAN JACOBITE. This is not the first time this has happened. Over the past year I've been contacted by others, in addition to MODERNIST, who have complemented me on the site and notified me that they added it as a link to the Surrealism page. Each time I subsequently received emails complaining to me that the link had been removed by REPUBLICAN JACOBITE.
In response to the emails I've received, I've decided to inquire info from those who have worked on the Surrealism page. I really don't want to overstep my bounds. I have never added the link myself and have left that completely up to the contributors, like yourself. I am just a lover of Surrealism who has devoted a lot of time and effort to a site, in an attempt to share info about Surrealism and its history with others. Since I am not a regular contributer to the Wikipedia Surrealism page, I'd rather not get involved. However, I would like to at least get some sort of explanation to pass on to those who have complained to me. Also, I invite you (a contributer to the Surrealism page) to check out the site and see if you feel it is appropriate as a link. Perhaps you can take the issue up with REPUBLICAN JACOBITE, or shed some light as to his aggressive stance against the site.

On [surrealism-plays.com] you can find an overview of surrealism; a chronology of the movement; bios for most of the writers associated with the movement in Paris; an extensive book list; classic surrealist poetry; numerous documents related to Surrealism, including works by Breton, Dali, Artaud, Aragon, etc.; surrealist art, architecture & photography; surrealist films; photos of the surrealist group in Paris; pages devoted to the Belgian Surrealists, Bunuel, Dali, and others; news of surrealist exhibits around the world; a surrealist links page; and so on.
I created the site to share info about Surrealism. I'm writing this simply in response to emails that I've been getting complaining about REPUBLICAN JACOBITE's removal of the site. I've responded to these emails by saying I have nothing to do with it. However, it would be nice if I could get an explanation to pass on to those who have complained.
