Hi Jehochman. I have withdrawn from the process, and what’s more I didn’t post a guide until after I had withdrawn. Cheers, Fish+Karate 19:32, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Aha, very okay then. I will update! Jehochman Talk 21:08, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I also withdrew... but I certainly didn't want to give off any "disciplinary" vibes. :( I was the only candidate who'd served on the Mediation Committee, with a background of using a positive approach for editors and content disputes. Lord Roem ~ (talk) 22:25, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That’s heartening. Had you stayed in I would have switched my recommendation. I’ll tell anybody who listens a secret—blocks are largely symbolic. They make good editors feel bad and they are easily circumvented by the truly horrible editor who needs one. It’s better to use blocks and other sanctions very sparingly. Not to boast, but I was a member of the original Mediation Committee, back in the Stone Age of Wikipedia, so Lord Roem is not the only candidate with that credential. Since I resigned from it because I felt I was not contributing enough to its goals, I did not mention that in my campaign statement. (Have I mentioned I've contributed to Wikipedia for several years?) -- llywrch (talk) 20:26, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
