Types of vegans

Kleuske (talk) deleted or undid your recent edits in Veganism. The brief point he made (in doing that) is that you had not documented your efforts to restate the definition of 'ethical vegan' as THE one normative definition of 'vegan' from which other usage (e.g. 'dietary vegan') diverges (in some morally and intellectually inferior way). The perspective that you, talk, interposed in the veganism article are readily found in the literature of the American Vegan Society. Those familiar with the literature around this article's topic ought to be familiar with that literature that tries to define veganism by life-inclusive intention (reducing all harms thoroughly - both at the intentional level AND consequentially, in the outcomes - IMO impossible to actually achieve) rather than merely dietary veganism. It should be possible to find references to support it. Admittedly, that would be the Wikipedia editor's duty when editing, but surely what you, Jbdean talk, said is not (by any stretch of the imagination) 'unsourced opinions' as Kleuske (talk) claimed. I think that your effort is part of a broader array of recurring efforts to clarify veganism's definitions and should be resolved more thoroughly and methodically. However, I suggest that, if you wish to write this content again, more is needed than there mere restatement of AVS's or anyone else's very sincerely held expression of ethical veganism (as consequentially all-effective inner intention to do no harm). I, frankly, do not give a hoot about the distinction between 'dietary' and 'ethical' vegans. What I do care about is that people insert unsourced opinions into articles. If you have good sources, by all means, cite a source and attribute, but WP:V goes for Veganism. too. Kleuske (talk) 08:28, 15 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
