dForce Trainer was first created between 1993 and 1994. Its original purpose was to develop the full swing for the game of golf. It was designed and manufactured in Detroit, Michigan as a result of the inventor’s need to improve his golf swing as quickly as possible.

History

The dForce Trainer was was originally designed for the sport of golf, however it was quickly adapted for all other sports. It is used for batting (baseball and softball), speed training (football/track and field) and vertical jump training (basketball/track and field). The dForce Trainer can now be used for almost any sport as a means of developing sport-specific muscles. The dForce can develop the muscles used for various sports, including but not limited to: tennis, table tennis, baseball, football, swimming, martial arts, etc.

Design

The dForce trainer was designed by Darrick Ervin, an American mathematician, inventor and publisher who originated the concept of the dForce Trainer. Darrick’s credentials include a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics, and a minor in Industrial Technology. He also has extensive experience in Business Management, Software Engineering and Engineering Management. Additionally, he keeps up with a variety of academic subjects, such as mathematics, computer science, factory automation, robotics, physics, and mechanical, electrical and software engineering. He also coaches and trains athletes at all levels. His machine has been showcased at Golf Shows, Baseball Shows, Baseball & Softball Tournaments, high school and college sports practices, Track Clinics, the Internet and television.[1]

dForce Trainer systems

This machine is an all-in-one model with different workout systems. The systems are categorized by the sport or workout in which an individual participates. For each system, there is a platform and a harness, (sizes range from kids to XX-Large) that is needed for the training. There are four systems and they each have their own components. The systems included in the dForce are:

    • 1 Harness- Upper Body Rotation
