Misogyny in Sports
Hi Jakdsmith, I was looking at your draft here and I had some comments:
- Remember that a topic like misogyny in sports should (hopefully) cover countries outside the united states and should extend back more than a few years. I think the material you've gathered on recent studies of disparities is good, but an article like this should at least mentioned title IX.
- I would take a look at articles like Women in computing (which may also point the way to a better title), which cover a somewhat similar topic more broadly. Don't worry, a new article doesn't need that much detail to start, it's just to make sure that you don't spend too much time polishing what should really only be a section in an article like this (the incidence of pay disparities and TV discrimination).
- Remember that wikipedia is read by an international audience. Especially for an article as (potentially) broad as this one, the pool of examples should be as wide as possible. Failing that, remember that a general reader may not know what Division I sports is without some context. In situations like that, it is helpful to link the reader to the appropriate page.
