Concerning Afro Latino

Jaam0121, in Venezuela, Mestizo meant mixed of all three races present in the country. It differs from mestizo as the term is used in Argentina or Mexico, where it means (specifically mixed with Amerindian and Spanish). Either way the term multi-ethnic and mestizo were interchangeable in a Venezuela, as Hugo Chavez often boasted of himself being a proud mestizo and in the same sentence showing pride in his Spanish, Indian, and African roots. Considering the fact in the 2011 census mestizo was disbanded, and that Multi-racial was put into effect, the 50% of Venezuelans that labeled themselves multiethnic (Euro/Afro/Indi), should be displayed. I've tried to explain the best I could that past census numbers are meaningless now, and the new number should be listed instead. The Multi ethic population has to be displayed there. Regardless of what the population was five years ago, whether you or I like the new statistics, they must be listed as is, otherwise we would be doing a great disservice to Wikipedia. If you have anything to add, I urge you to let me know. Thank you. 107.210.128.53 (talk) 01:39, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

White Latin American

You are reverting to the 1990 population figure for Columbia - we should use the 2010 figure which is the latest. If you disagree please discuss this on the article's talk page. I've started a section there called "Populations Figures" where we can discuss it. Tobus (talk) 00:07, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Russians in Venezuela. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators can block users from editing if they repeatedly vandalize. As previously pointed out to you, the the Joshua Project is not a reliable source either for distinguishing ethnic groups or for statistics about them. Please use statistics like census figures. Thank you, 61.10.165.33 (talk) 03:44, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That website doesn't even support your claim of 34,600 Russians; it says there's 5,100. Anyway since we can't come to an understanding, I've referred this matter to the reliable sources noticeboard. Regards, 61.10.165.33 (talk) 08:55, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Earth 2014 updates and Editing

Hi .. I understand that we both care towards editing the Miss Earth 2014 page. It's not vandalizing when I added info i.e. Angola .. Kindly check the official fb of MISS EARTH PAGEANT (owned by carousel) and you'll see that what I added were there . Angola candidate was there plus the different info about the returns of St. Lucia , Kenya, Vietnam etc.. Check also the likes page of Miss Earth Pageant official fb to guide you to the current countries who are going to send reps to this year's Ms. Earth. As for the Miss Netherlands, I didn't put the source written in forums; rather i posted what's written in Missosology.org (not the missosology portal). Kindly check the sources for you to be enlightened.

It's not that easy to edit and insert new info with reliable sources just to be removed by you. By the way, why don't you put your sources for Kyrgyztan for example ? My source from the Ms. Earth group didn't even confirm it's participation. BTW, Peru has a new franchise and they won't send brunella fossa. Kindly do research first before you post something . India hasn't named also their representative for Ms Earth.

I suggest , do not remove our contributions as you are not working inside the carousel production the way my sources do. Thank you ---- Blugrant15 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blugrant15 (talkcontribs) 16:26, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

MIss Earth Pageant

Hi.. i understand the rules of references to be used in the wikipedia. Just for your enlightenment, The Miss Earth Pageant fb is the Officlal account of the Miss Earth pageant. Here, only verified information are posted. if you go to the www.missearth.tv website, and you click the FB icon, you would be directed to this official account. With due respect, you are not working inside the Carousel Production, and only a few have direct access to the information. I believe, the Carousel production or the Miss Earth Pageant is a credible source than your thoughts.

I hope you won't just change the information I posted as these were from the Miss Earth Pageant itself (personnel) who have given the information. I would rather believe in the information coming from Carousel admin than somebody else who works outside.

Again, i suggest that you review the posts of the Miss Earth Pageant admin in their fb account, and kindly reinstate what you have omitted. if you have problem with those information, send an e-mail to the carousel production/Miss Earth Pageant in their website (www.missearth.tv).

As for Missosology, there are two divisions: if you go to the missosology, info, it's a forum where fans can post anything they like, and they're posts aren't credible sources; however, when you go to missosology.org, this a collection of published articles . It's a beauty pageant magazine. I suggest you research first. Missosology. org is the number one site for beauty pageants. Its contemporaries are eyeforbeautyblog, com, globalbeauties.com, critical beauty.com, which i found as other sources of information here.

I have found out that some of the sources here are also from official Fb accounts. Just to appease you, i have placed some other references for your guidance and enlightenment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blugrant15 (talkcontribs) 07:36, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Credibility

The blog site you are referring contains news written by a staff of the miss earth organization. Check the name of the writer if you want. I would rather believe on the credibility of a writer who works in the organization and whose name is shown than someone whose identity is withheld, or somebody who hasn't proven anything. So stop acting like you own this page. if you don'tt agree with the contributions of other editors, you better bar yourself to playing God here. -- Blugrant15 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Blugrant15 (talkcontribs) 02:59, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

on issue of Miss earth Taiwan

That's the official Miss Earth franchise of the R.O.C. (Taiwan).. you can verify from the official Facebook account of the miss earth pageant. check their fb on the official website www.missearth.tv . Again do research first . I'm giving good articles for the Miss earth fans. You don't decide on matters here. MIss World Greece 2014

Eleni was a designation. The national director did a CASTING CALL, where after examining the participants, HANDPICKED who was going to represent Greece in MIss Universe and MIss World, it was done like this back in 2010 as well. There was no runner ups for it to be a "mini pageant", there's no such thing as a "mini pageant" stop removing the designation sections or I will have you block you.

A tag has been placed on Nadine Stroitz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Nadine Stroitz competed in Miss Austria but did not. Julia Furdea is Miss Austria. G3 - blatant hoax - Previously speedied - Recommend WP:SALT

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Miss Universe 2014

No. The picture of Miami does not suffice because there is no such city as "Miami-Doral", if the MUO said the pageant was being held in Greater Miami, then that would work, but it said Doral so a picture of Miami, even though it is nearby, is irrelevant. That's like an event being held in Newark, New Jersey but pictures are showing New York City. I am going to take the picture down; the only pictures that should be posted are of Doral or Florida International University. Please stop edit warring or I will report you.

Also, the press release shown on the Miss Universe website says that the pageant will be held at the FIU Arena (which is the US Century Bank Arena) on FIU's campus, so that is the correct venue. Source: [2]Rararawr21 (talk) 23:55, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't say anywhere in the article that you sourced that Miami will be hosting any events. It just said that Doral is near Miami airport. Rararawr21 (talk) 16:00, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So then the venue isn't just Doral, it is "Doral MIAMI" as I have previously edited and you reverted my edit. Either put Miami somewhere on the page or take the picture down. Either way, after the winner is chosen, the picture should and will be taken down and be replaced with a picture of the winner to match the other pages Rararawr21 (talk) 16:19, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

My point was that, if you're going to be showing a picture of Miami (which may or may not be relevant to Doral [it isn't]) then you should at least have it say "Doral, Miami", "Doral Miami", or "Doral-Miami" as I had edited it before. But then you changed my edit. So my point was, if you're not going to include Miami in the article at all, then a picture of the city would be irrelevant. Thank you for accepting it as "Doral, Miami, Florida, USA" and I'm glad we are done with this discussion. Rararawr21 (talk) 01:34, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Afro-Latin American article

Hello, I am responding to your message on my talk page concerning the Afro-Latin American article. Unfortunately, I know nothing of this topic. I may have come through and added some links, but I do not remember even that much. In addition, I am not very active on Wikipedia these days. Basically, when I have the time, I add links and cleanup the spelling and formatting of articles.

If you can, I encourage you to work out the issue with the other editor, if you have not already tried. When you contact him or her, I recommend assuming that any mistakes were done unintentionally rather than maliciously. If you cannot workout the issue, and you need assistance, please go to the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard page. Once you are there, please read the information at the top of the page. You can post directly to the Administrators' noticeboard, but there are links to specialized pages that may handle your request more efficiently. Choose the page that you think best suits your problem. However, each page is likely to have information on what types of requests it accepts and what information you need to provide. Please read these instructions before posting. If you cannot decide where your request for assistance should go, post to the main Administrators' noticeboard page, and someone should assist you or point you in the right direction. Best wishes, Kjkolb (talk) 22:54, 22 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. If it is true, the page of the Miss World gives the heights but such items do not think placing them as they are highly variable personal data in some cases contradict with other references to a particular candidate. Today, the name of the candidate, age, hometown is placed; very important and sufficient data. The user then added to the above, we attempted to start a discussion [2] but the vandal ignored discuss the issue and continued reversing editions. Particularly that makes me angry because my work here has been cleaned and is not believe "God" but I am one of the main contributors in articles like Miss World, Miss Universe and [[Miss Earth] ] in many editions; maintain order and there are many speculations about these events and anonymous user and "anonymous" daily add false information, which I Corrigo. However, my work will be affected by this lock clearly because these articles are currently under development, because they are taking place right now, and I can not contribute or monitor issues; in fact at this point in the article Miss World 2014 added completely false information and unfortunately I can not fix being blocked = 633697170. I made an effort and I blocked, I work in wikipedia in Spanish (my language) and English, but in some ways I do not defend very well because the language does not completely dominate.
Welcome back after your block. PhilKnight (talk) 22:06, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Miss France at Miss Universe 2014 and Miss Universe 2015

The winner of this upcoming Miss France 2015 pageant, as you have said, will be going to MU 2014 in January, 2015 in Miami (THIS ONE: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Universe_2014 ). Miss Universe 2015 is an entirely different pageant and the Miss France Organization has said nothing about when the representative for that pageant will be chosen. It seems we are in agreement but there is some disconnect with what you understand. You are edit warring me on the Miss Universe 2015 page, which is a DIFFERENT PAGEANT from Miss Universe 2014 in January. It shows in your history that you've been reported for edit warring in the past; if you undo my edit again, I will report you. Rararawr21 (talk) 03:06, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I figured it was just a misunderstanding. I also agree with you that France will likely have a representative for the MU 2015 pageant, likely a runner up on the Dec. 6 MF pageant; but we're going to have to wait until the MFO announces that. Anyway, I'm glad we now have an understanding. Rararawr21 (talk) 03:28, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jaam0121, Please dont remove my edit. Thank You beacuse i know beauty pageants.

Blocked again

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for edit warring. Since I don't see any sign that you learned from your last edit-warring block, this block is indefinite in length. To become unblocked, you will need to convince an administrator that you will no longer participate in edit warring.. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

I'm impressed. What is the reason for blocking? I do not understand. I really sad see such a sentence for me, I work daily on this which I describe as my passion and hobbies; does not seem right. My collaboration in beauty items and maintaining them is very good, check my edit history. I do not understand. Jaam0121 (talk) 05:19, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have been blocked for edit warring. Given that you do not understand that you have been editing disruptively, I am declining your request to be unblocked. PhilKnight (talk) 18:38, 13 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Checking your history reveals this link. Can you explain to me what part of your block you do not understand?—Kww(talk) 05:24, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's not fair. If you look at history, a few weeks ago I was blocked by an edit war in which the user arbitrarily changing information and I corrected it, the librarian protected the article and once finished the term, rectify the information and the other user was involved in edit war will not appear anymore. Now comes two IP addresses whose UNICAS editions are in the article to arbitrarily change the information again and ignoring the references to do, let him do it ?. I do not think just a lock of such magnitude for an "edit war" with IP addresses that have little or no contribution in the encyclopedia, while I spend time every day in various articles (check my record) overcoming language barriers (Spoken Spanish) to make you pay me so. It seems very wrong. I really like this, and if I made mistakes because I'm sorry, but there are items that I keep and if it freezes me be visible deterioration thereof; I do not want that to happen. However, to keep the lock forever, I'd rather leave my work here, unfortunately.Jaam0121 (talk) 05:34, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm intrigued by connections with User:Cargom. He was just requesting unblock yesterday, and it seems like you make very similar contributions. Is that another account you use? only (talk) 11:52, 7 December 2014 (UTC) No, this is my only account. I specialize in editing articles of beauty contests like Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Universe 2014, Miss World 2014, Miss Earth 2014 and many more. In these articles intercede many users, most of them negatively and therefore work in updating and maintaining them; but now with my lock that will be impossible. The above articles began to deteriorate by users and Vandal IP addresses, it is not fair that happen Jaam0121 (talk) 16:32, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please unblock, want to continue working in wikipedia, the articles in which I work are being out of control, not just be locked when my contributions have been very beneficial to the community. I have spent much time on this because I like it, use a translator because I do not speak English, I have made many efforts to design-develop and update articles and now with my lock all my effort was not worth at all.Jaam0121 (talk) 04:53, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

He has spent more than a month since my block, and again uttered me to ask for my release. It is clear that the reason for my blocking or sanction taken against me was exaggerated, formerly a "edit war" which were rather a restoration of vandalism edits. I confess, made mistakes, and thanks to them I learned more for the encyclopedia and feel the need to continue working on this platform, as I do on wikipedia of Spanish. Clearly see the terrible decline of articles handled, such as Miss Universe 2014, Miss Earth 2014, Miss World 2015 and many more, overwhelmed with false information which corrects because there is no little interest in the subject, and the few serious users that creates and develops (like me) are punished in this way, contributing to the decline of the network. I ask for the unlock request again, and agree to amend any errors and if to submit to conditions for my release, I will. I await your response. Greetings.

Decline reason:

Based on your unblock request, I have serious misgivings about you editing the English language Wikipedia, as you seem to lack the necessary English language profiency. PhilKnight (talk) 04:50, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

PhilKnight (talk · contribs) Do not think that's one reason to maintain the blockade. You can check all my issues and my English is good also edit items that have basic English mostly. Besides, it escapes the main reason for my block, I dont know of impediments to users of other languages collaborate in other wikipedia's. Jaam0121 (talk) 00:41, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. It's been a long time since my lock and make visible my desire to return to the encyclopedia. Because of competence issues. The thread at ANI shows a substantial majority against an unblock, on the basis that your command of the English language is not adequate for the English Wikipedia. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:55, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jaam0121, I am happy to open a thread on the administrators' noticeboard saying you want to take the standard offer, and if enough administrators agree you should, I can unblock you. Ritchie333. Good afternoon. I would like to formally request my release of the encyclopedia to continue working on articles related beuty pageants. As you can see in my User-Talk, I have been blocked on several occasions and most recently in December, 2014. I decided to take some time, and now back again eager to start in a better way. My útlimo and current deadlock was due to an edit war, as you can see in my contributions. My passion is to edit and collaborate on items of competitions Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss Earth, Miss International, Miss Venezuela, Miss USA, and other, i really love the pageants and would create the Miss Universe 2015 that does not currently exist in the encyclopedia. For these reasons I want my back to the encyclopedia to continue working as I do in the spanish-wikipedia. Greetings.Jaam0121 (talk) 20:20, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, the thread is now up at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Unblock of Jaam0121 - we'll see what happens. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 20:25, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much!.Jaam0121 (talk) 20:31, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ritchie333. Greetings. Although I can not intervene in the request for my release, I want to clarify that obviously several times use a translator (like now), and i cant see the problem. I dont know a law of the encyclopedia That says you should know "perfectly" the language of a wikipedia to edit it; many users who edit the english-wikipedia dont have English as their mother tongue. My English is basic, and I accept it. Furthermore, in Articles I edit, as you can notice is not necessary "perfect english" as the wording is very short, simple and basic. Whatever they decide, thanks for everything.

I feel that you should realize that software-translated English is very often seriously inaccurate, occasionally total nonsense, and very frequently completely inadequate for insertion into an encyclopedia. While language skill of native level is certainly not required, competence policy requires a level of skill which it appears you do not possess. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:51, 13 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think that I can deal with my "English intermediate". Jaam0121 (talk) 04:56, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I dont understand why this "controversy" about my english when there are hundreds of users and IP editing without minimal knowledge of the language. Currently, articles like Miss World 2015 and Miss Earth 2015 are a big disaster, and I want to correct them because they have false information. I do not understand why "the big problem" now is not perfectly fluent in English, when the reason for my blocking was an edit war. ???. Jaam0121 (talk) 05:06, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  1. It is not a question of being "not perfectly fluent in English": it is a question of frequently writing stuff which, although supposed to be English, in fact consists of a string of English words strung together in a confusing jumble which does not make English sentences. Sometimes it is difficult or even impossible to figure out what you mean. Since you evidently don't realise how very far from being proper English your writing is, i will describe just two examples from on this page. "He has spent more than a month since my block, and again uttered me to ask for my release." Here "He has spent more than a month" is evidently intended to mean "It has been more than a month", but it is not English. "Again uttered me to ask for my release" evidently must mean something like "I wish to ask again for release from the block", but the word "uttered" makes no sense at all in this context, so I am not sure exactly what you mean. However, at least I do understand roughly what you are trying to say, well enough for practical purposes. However, it is a different matter when we come to "false information which corrects because there is no little interest in the subject". In this case, I really do not know what you intended that to say. You said that the "false information" corrects some unspecified thing, but surely that can't be what you meant. Do you mean that someone corrects the "false information"? If so, who? You? In that case you mean "which I correct", but I really don't know whether that is what you meant or not: it is just my attempt to guess what you may have meant. And whoever it is that corrects something, what do you mean by saying that they correct it "because there is no little interest in the subject"? "No little interest" is a rather archaic expression meaning "a fairly large amount of interest", but I am very uncertain whether that is what you meant or not: did you actually mean "because there is little interest in the subject"? And whatever you meant by "there is no little interest in the subject", why is that the reason for someone or other correcting something or other? I did think that you might mean that you corrected things because there was little interest, so that nobody else was bothering to do so, but then I realised that that made no sense, as you have been editing articles where there is a good deal of active editing, indeed even edit-warring. I finish up really not knowing what you were trying to say. As I have said, it is far from being just a matter of being less than perfectly fluent in English: it is a matter of scarcely being able to communicate in English.
  2. You say that you "made mistakes, and thanks to them [you] learned more for the encyclopedia" and that you "agree to amend any errors", but you have not said anything that actually shows that you understand the reason for the block, nor have you given any indication in what way our future editing will be different from what you did in the past. If you are to persuade an administrator that unblocking you would benefit the project, you need to make him or her believe that you understand what the problems were, so that you can avoid making the same mistakes again. Unfortunately, editors who say "I understand and will do better from now on" but don't explain what changes they will make very often actually just carry on in the same way as before, and for that reasons administrators tend to want more than just the statement "I understand and will do better".
  3. You say you don't understand the concern about your English, when the reason for the block was edit warring. It is common for blocked editors to assume, as you evidently do, that a review of an unblock request is like an appeal against a decision of a criminal court, where only the alleged crime is to be considered. However, a block from Wikipedia is in many ways a very different thing from a legal sentence, and a Wikipedia administrator, unlike a judge, considers not the question "is this sentence reasonable for the particular crime alleged in this case", but rather "will unblocking this editor on balance be of benefit to the project". The answer to that question depends on every aspect of the editor's editing, not just those aspects which led to the block in the first place. This is not just my opinion: English Wikipedia's blocking policy states that an administrator assessing an unblock request should review "the circumstances of the block, the editor's prior conduct, and other relevant evidence, along with any additional information provided by the user and others". ToonLucas22. Jaam0121 (talk) 04:53, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
