Per capita map

I think the map showing per capita incomes needs to be in euros, not dollars!Sandpiper (talk) 23:57, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know, this is an Americanocentric world. However the EU must publish figures in its own currency, and the raw data must have been in Euros or local alternative. I appreciate this may be trickier than it ought to be, but exactly because of the exchange rate issue, it shouldn't be in dollars. Sandpiper (talk) 20:43, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know, easier to criticise than spent all morning trying to find something. Another issue, Im using a laptop now, and on that screen the three dark greens look pretty much the same colour unless I squint a bit and get the screen angled exactly right. The bright colours look quite distinct. I like using darkening shades of the same colour, but if possible the dark ones probably need brightening a bit.Sandpiper (talk)
Something to consider with the replacement map then, thanks for bringing that up, I like shades of a colour but perhaps we should have it flowing into different colours to make it more distinct. Euro is a requirement?

I appreciate that you didn't write all this, but just copied much of it here to get on with editing, but do you know what the sentence (roughly) 'the euro is a requirement for most of the other states' means? It isn't clear from the article. (Section on the monetary union). Two possible meanings i though of might be either that they officially recognise it as legal currency, or they have a schedule to adopt it at a certain date. Oh you can, I find the trick is to leave it long enough so I have forgotten it. But I agree, I also write things where I know what it is meant to mean, but only if looked at again do I see that it is confusing if you don't already know what it means. Sandpiper (talk)

Bosman

Dare I say it, presuming we shall be having a sport section, the Bosman example ought only to be mentioned once and ought to go in sport. Sandpiper (talk)

Did include it as it was brought up in the anti-sports section talks, this illustrates the content not having to be in its own section. But yes, if the sports section does remain as it looks like, it can easily be removed or changed.- J Logan t: 13:43, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TACIS

According to wikipedia, TACIS is defunct and is now part of EuropeAid. I have mentioned this here, but I'm not sure quite how to do it. Even if Tacis is defunct, I thought it worth mentioning that the EU had helped ex USSR states, and presumably still may be doing so, though the EuropAid article is a stub and doesn't say much.
