Thanks. I don't believe I would have come across your edits to James K. Polk. I probably came across some edits of yours in an article history and noticed that you hadn't been welcomed yet. However, it looks like you've been around awhile and probably don't need the introduction.

Thank you. I know I am supposed to do this. Usually if I am signed on it's not a problem as I am identified by some bot. The problem is when I don't realize I have been logged off due to time lag.

How to throw the ball?

In the article it says

Players are permitted to throw the ball in the air using an underarm action. This is generally used to knock either the jack or another ball away to attain a more favorable position.
