Welcome to Talk ib40 !Ib40 (talk) 13:49, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Applied Research, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Applied research. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. My Comments

Deletion is correct. Redirection of Applied Research to Applied research is a valid & fair step.Ib40 (talk) 17:48, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of International internship programme in EduCARE India

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article International internship programme in EduCARE India, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unsourced article that reads like a promotional brochure for the internship program. Needs independent secondary sources to establish notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Comments b/ Explanation

I developed a little better understanding of new wiki articles. I earlier contested deletion of this article but now agree that this International Internship programme in EduCARE india may be deleted / or may be redirected. I have instead created the page ,i.e.india (Internship in EduCARE India. I see its notibility by the sense that it is listed on serch and a number of local educational print publications / directories for students that i will provide references to in the coming days. I hope it will stand the scrutiny of good content, editing and notibility.

Similarily International Internship in India may yet not be deleted seeking further editing and inputs to wikify it, but may also be considered for redirection to Internship in India as a sub section. Looking forward to your comments Ib40 (talk) 04:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

COI and spamming

Hi IB40, I noticed that you have recently created several articles related to Educare India and added undue reference to the organization in several other unrelated articles. Please read wikipedia's guidelines on WP:Notability that govern what articles should be created/retained here. Most of the articles you have created are likely to be unsuitable for wikipedia since they violate these inclusion guidelines. Also if you have any relation with this organization, you should also be aware of wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest.

Finally, are you also user User:E6nvikas ? Abecedare (talk) 07:57, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

'Internship in India' and 'International Internship in India' article may yet not be deleted

This article page is new and is under xonsideration for editing. The topic internship in india is relevant in the context of current times. I have initiated program informations from organisations such as EduCARE India and InfoSys as they are renowned and repected in their relevant fields of volunteer sector and information technology. But nevertheless, being new, there are issues of editing, style, references, notability etc that I need to get more informed with. It is suggested / contested that for the time being the page not be deleted but may be kept under some watch. The pages will be edited through the coming few days. Ib40 (talk) 09:41, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A PROD template gives you a week before an administrator will even look if the page should be removed so don't worry about not having any time to improve them! However it came to my attention that you created 3 pages about virtually the same subject, and each of those three borders or crosses the policies has for new pages.
The first issue is that the pages cross the WP:NPOV and WP:ADVERT guidelines - they focus on the product or service from a single company and due to the wording promote that product or service. Secondly, products and services from a company should be incorporated into the main article of that company par WP:PRODUCT unless they are notable in their own right. Third: The sources you added are self published sources and are therefore not reliable. See WP:RS Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 09:55, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the info. Hopefully will learn to incorporatre changes. Ib40 (talk) 10:09, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're more then welcome. If you need any specific editing assistance feel free to ask. Alternatively you can use the Helpdesk or the New Contributer helpdesk for questions. The advantage of the latter is that there are multiple wikipedian's helping people round the clock over there. The advantage of directly asking someone is that it is easier to ask multiple questions in rapid succesion. Either way, Good luck with the article's and happy editing! Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 10:24, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:IOWN for the procedure which needs to be followed to submit the permission. Stifle (talk) 10:38, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable and false citations

IB40, I just took a look at the article Internship in India which you edited and removed the proposed deletion notice from. Unfortunately while some of your references were unreliable and/or self-published, the remaining simply did not support the statement they were attached to. For example, can you show where the Indian Apprenticeship Act 1961 says that, "Local internship is generally called 'Apprenticeship'" ?

Note that deliberately misrepresenting references is likely to get an editor blocked from editing wikipedia. Since you are a new editor, I am ready to assume that these errors was unintentional. Please do read wikipedia policies on when, which and how to add references (WP:V, WP:RS, WP:Cite) and review your past edits to make sure that any such errors are corrected. Let me know if you have any questions. Abecedare (talk) 04:45, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have redirected the new article to International internship programme in EduCARE India, since the new article was a content fork of a article, whose notability itself is disputed. Please do not create any more new articles before you gain a better understanding of WP:NOTABILITY and WP:RS.
In particular, general search results are not reliable sources. Unless independent, secondary reliable sources that give significant coverage to the EduCare India's internship program are found, the article is likely to be deleted, and creating article forks is not helpful. Abecedare (talk) 04:53, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with your observations, but all is not my personal delibrations, it is just like a new person took up a project to set up articles to further enrich wikipedia and become capable to do it. Nevertheless, there are quite a bit of references for the article as stated, I will evaluate and add the ones that seems to meet the criterion soon. Ib40 (talk) 04:54, 21 May 2009 (UTC) (copied from my talk page to keep conversation consolidated Abecedare (talk) 05:03, 21 May 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Can you clarify which article you are talking about when you say, "there are quite a bit of references for the article as stated" ?
I realize that you are a new editor and are therefore likly to make newbie mistakes. That is understandable; however you should also appreciate that you are making edits that go against wikipedia's content policies. Therefore I again urge you not to create any more new articles till you have dealt with the existing issues that other editors and I have pointed out to you, and thus have become more conversant with the applicable policies.
PS: You can post any replies here itself, since I have your page watchlisted. That way the conversation will be easier to follow. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 05:03, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok ! Ib40 (talk) 11:34, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's tough man. I didn't do something horrible to get me put up so badly in my office by blocking the IP Address for whatever little while. I learnt of wikipedia article creation from a friend working as eVolunteer, then thought helping myself to learn. and helping wikipedia project too; but you call me 'sockpuppet' ! Well it was as tough for me to read and understand the link page as is the consistency of the articles on wikipedia. There are some articles that are actually somewhat as website of a private company and its products. And there are some others too just content from copied from another online page !! And then you have me as a begginer gunning for me right at the outset, when i'm just working on a few related topics aiming to build them up. Abecedare was a good help; and so was Excirial. Hope YellowMonkey be little more reasonable and considerate. I am not spamming or being vulgur, offensive. All my entries and comments are online. My created / edited articles are few and all listed. Why block, when guidelines been suggested to me and i said OK as above. Ib40 (talk) 20:39, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Baljinder

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Baljinder, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable name, content is entirely unencyclopaedic.
