Bayley.alex - WP:AIV

Obviously a new and young editor, yes, but I have blocked them indefinitely; this is mainly because their edits included adding porn URLs to company pages, naming living people (presumably their friends) as being involved with those companies, and adding mobile phone numbers (again, presumably their friends). Not to mention user and sandbox pages with inappropriate material. I have had to rev-delete pretty much everything they wrote. Thanks, Black Kite (talk) 12:54, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your username

Just a short note to say, I've just spotted your username and think it's brilliant. WCMemail 19:27, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wee Curry Monster Thanks for the plaudit -- if you mean the signature, otherwise accepted on behalf of whoever first identified the combination =) ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 08:40, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

FR30799386's User Scripts

Dear all. Recently, FR30799386 (talk) was blocked for sock puppetry. Among their projects were a number of user scripts that they left behind. I (DannyS712) have copied the scripts, and have taken over maintaining them. You currently import one or more of FR30799386's scripts, and I thought that you might want to import a maintained version. Links to each script are provided below.

If you have any questions, please reach out and talk to me. --DannyS712 (talk) 03:57, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies for the above section stating that you are a party. You are not, I made a mistake with the template. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 19:51, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hat tip-->"Harvard Business School Cases: How Wikipedia Works (or Doesn’t)"re Karim R. Lakhani's examination (link) of the case of fellow Harvard professor Andrew McAfee's experience "editing" Wikipedia.

"McAfee began to feel that the debate might be about something more than just the article. ['...Policies had become for them a way to keep out articles they just personally didn't like.' [...] Lakhani believes[...]rules seemed to be used in an exclusionary way. [...] An ongoing tension within Wikipedia is characterized as the inclusionists versus the exclusionists. The inclusionists argue that one of Wikipedia's core values is that it should be open to all ideas, that truth emerges from a variety of directions. Better to include than exclude. The exclusionists see Wikipedia's utilitarianism diminished if too much froth clouds the valuable information inside."]

RD1 request

I want to carry out the revision deletion you requested at Comments by Celebs, but you didn't identify the source of the material. I grabbed a couple snippets and did a Google search but came up empty. Can you identify the source of the material?S Philbrick(Talk) 15:08, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sphilbrick: Apologies -- the revdel has now been performed, but episode summaries were on a few external sites when I ran Earwig's detector (maybe toppodcast.com/podcast_feeds/comments-by-celebs/ ?). ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 07:35, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hydronium Hydroxide, Now moot, thanks for responding. S Philbrick(Talk) 13:13, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Separatist movements of India problems

Hi Hydronium I have seen that you have dealt with separatism in Pakistan article a few months back regarding the Sindhudesh movement I have also witnessed the same issue regarding the proposed Dravid Nadu separatist state in the Indian separatist movements article many users remove the information despite it being referenced with the same excuse that's its defunct or lacks major support the same can be said about Pakistans separatist movements there are recent articles regarding the emergence of this Tamil nationalism but whenever it gets added Indian users remove it while they are quick to add Sindhudesh on Pakistan the hypocrasy is clear could we have someone mediate and prevent these mass deletions based on nonsensical grounds? I await your proposal. 82.132.218.83 (talk) 06:45, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done I can't see any attempt to remove or add any reference to Dravida Nadu at Separatist movements of India since 2009, but it should be included. Quick fix at Special:diff/914120513/912579332 ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 09:38, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 16

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Proserpinaca, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Extant (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Brumy not ferial

I will need help to upload the evidence as I am new to edits on this platform. The decisions are not impartial and are showing bais, The Federal Court of Australia. File No 1569 of 2018. On 8th may 2020 The ABA Inc. vers the Vict Parks Inc Judge O'Bryanj Section 19 Ruled that the use of the term had undesirable conertations toward the Brumby and could be exploited by Parks Vic, the wild horse was not the best choice as it has a historical background of being introduced so the use of the term Brumby was and is the impartial name for the Australian equine. I also have up-to-date ecolagy reports from colleges arriving expectantly to support the pages now fair naritave of the Australian Brumy and not that from a totally ecologically outdated and bias and demeaning perspective. Shenqijing (talk) 11:59, 6 June 2020 (UTC), I have no confidence in the provision of non bias evidence presented on this page and would like to collaborate with moving this page forward to a more impartial representation of the Australian Brumy. Hello, I wondered if you could do a full review of the Stephanides page. Thanks in advance. :-) Taurus Littrow (talk) 10:22, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

hI Taurus Littrow, I probably won't be editing much if at all until early next week. Will take a look then. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 10:17, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
See how it looks now and let me know what you think. Thanks. Taurus Littrow (talk) 11:36, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, how does it look? 20:03, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
@Taurus Littrow: I may look at it if and when I have a chunk of time, energy and inclination. As this will most likely not be this side of Christmas, you could try WP:PR - if so, please include that you've attempted to clean up a copyvio problem so the reviewer can pay attention to that. If you'd paid heed to this copyright warning, I'd have been able to have completed review a month back -- it's ok to make significant mistakes, but repeating them is not sensible. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 09:29, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Just a chat

Dear Hydronium Hydroxide, sorry I undid our edits in Momien, and just let you know. I have found some reference states that the Momien is Burmese name, not a Tai Nuea name, even though it is very similar to Tengchong's Tai Nuea name Mong-mien. Momien is Tengchong. I have reverted the page to be a redirect. Thanks for your previous help. Cheers.--Xiliuheshui · chat 00:24, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Xiliuheshui, thanks for the update, and for reverting. ~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 01:03, 24 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NPP Award for 2018

The New Page Patroller's Barnstar

For over 100 article reviews during 2018. Thank you for patrolling new pages and helping us out with the backlog! -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:27, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a barnstar to show appreciation for the NPP reviews you did back in 2018. We realize this is late, but NPP fell behind in some coordination activities. We have just caught up with giving out deserved barnstars. Also, we notice you haven't been very active here recently, and hope you will consider increasing your participation. The backlog is relatively high and we could really use your help. Regardless, thanks again for your past effort. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:27, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
