I want to suggest a merge

I want to suggest merging the article

To ensure that any new or revised requirement providing for the screening, testing, or treatment of individuals operating commercial motor vehicles for sleep disorders is adopted pursuant to a rulemaking proceeding (H.R. 3095; 113th Congress)

into Section "Legislation", Trucking industry in the United States. My stream-of-consciousness thinking on this is in Talk:To ensure that any new or revised requirement providing for the screening, testing, or treatment of individuals operating commercial motor vehicles for sleep disorders is adopted pursuant to a rulemaking proceeding (H.R. 3095; 113th Congress).

When the merge has been suggested, I will inform at least these talk pages:

Thank you. --Hordaland (talk) 01:40, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

  • The proper way to do that is to make the proposal on Talk:Trucking industry in the United States using the {{Merge from}} template. Full documentation on the process can be found on that template's page in the documentation section. If you have further questions, or wish for me to preform this action on your behalf, I would be happy to do so. Simply ping me with {{U|Technical 13}} if that is the case. — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 14:54, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi! I replied on the article talk page in opposition to the merge, explaining why at greater length. I also another 4500 characters to the page - it's actually a full public law now and not just a bill. Thanks! HistoricMN44 (talk) 15:51, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Thank you both. I agree that the updated article should stand, but what should its name be? U.S. Pub.L. 113–45 or something else? --Hordaland (talk) 22:50, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

Please help me again

In trying to clean up someone else's mess (see latest section in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Norway), I fear I've made it worse.

There is a ferry stop in Norway named Dragsvik.

(There are ferries between Dragsvik-Hella, Dragsvik-Vangsnes and Hella-Vangsnes. Of these three ferry stops, only Vangsnes has an article in English Wikipedia.)

There is a railway stop in Finland named Dragsvik, Dragsviki, Dragsvikin, Dragsvikin seisake, Dragsvikissä, with probably other endings as well; Finnish is like that and I don't know Finnish. (Some of those endings may be adjectives, cases...)

Anyway, here is the Finnish language wikipedia article about the railway stop. (Note that the photo is named just Dragsvik.)

Where ever "Dragsvik" is wikilinked in English Wikipedia, such as in this article, List of villages in Sogn og Fjordane, the link now goes to Dragsviki, our article about the Finnish place. (In that list-article, it does appear that the correct latitude/longitude for the Norwegian place is used.)

Unfortunately, I was under the impression that the Finnish place was named Dragsviki, so I moved Dragsvik to Dragsviki, thinking that would be a good way to differentiate. More research shows (I think) that Dragsvik is the correct name for both the Norwegian and the Finnish places. I tried to revert my name change (Dragsvik ==> Dragsviki), but I didn't figure out how.

Anyway, there doesn't appear to be an article here about the Norwegian Dragsvik, so it shouldn't be wikilinked, other than as a redlink, in English Wikipedia.

So: Our article about the railway stop in Finland should be changed back to Dragsvik, or, preferably to Dragsvik, Finland in case we ever make an article about Dragsvik, Norway.
And: All wikilinked "Dragsvik" in English Wikipedia which should lead to Dragsvik in Norway should be redlinks at this time.

Hope the explanation is clear enough! Thank you, Hordaland (talk) 21:24, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

For now I have moved the article on the Finnish town back to Dragsvik (that works in exactly the same way as moving it to "Dragsviki" worked). Once we get a Dragsvik, Norway article, the Finnish one should be moved again (and Dragsvik itself should be turned into a disambiguation page), but for now there's no need to do so. Huon (talk) 22:01, 9 March 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much! But that won't keep people here from wrongly wikilinking the Norwegian Dragsvik without checking to see if their link actually goes to a Norwegian place. So I've moved Dragsvik to Dragsvik, Finland, in order to avoid that. I've also added
Note: This article is about Dragsvik in Finland, not Dragsvik in Norway.
to our article. (I don't know why Dragsvik isn't now a redlink here. Perhaps some bot will fix that?!)
Hope this works! --Hordaland (talk) 00:42, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
Oh, I see. Dragsvik is now a redirect to Dragsvik, Finland. That's too bad, it ought to be a redlink. I s'pose the only way to fix that would be to do a disambiguation page, as you suggested. --Hordaland (talk) 01:18, 10 March 2014 (UTC)
