Main page redesign
Hi Hordaland! You may remember (nearly four years ago!) adding some very useful feedback on my main page redesign entry. Well, I've since updated the design for the 2012 proposal; if you get a moment, I'd love to hear your reactions and thoughts. — Pretzels Hii! 16:35, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- Pleasing column layout, but I don't like the huge white space at the bottom of the main column. Picture caption doesn't match picture, but I like the bit of horizontal black space it provides. If you've figured out a way to get the right pic next to the right text in On this day and In the news, that would be great (but I suspect you haven't...). The About Wikipedia text and photo are just blah; the idea may be OK but what's there isn't worth the real estate. I miss the section about how many languages we provide. The Donate section is pretty important - perhaps it could be done in 2 versions, the one as you have it, the alternative wide and more prominent when there is lots of space at the bottom of the wider column.
