Create new subsection Columbus, New Mexico#Early 1891

I Added a subsection on the article of Columbus, New Mexico. There were missing some historical information on the history section. I added a subsection, Early 1891, where I explained the Columbus dates back to 1891. I explained some facts that happened during those years.

Deming School Edits

Your edits in the Deming School article helped improve the accuracy of the listing. --Maidmarian55 (talk) 04:39, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Maidmarian55,
Thank you for your comments, I think that links under an article really helps to improve it, but while we are editing Wikipedia articles, those links should be wikilinks.

References for Pancho Villa Raid

This is a very interesting page that could benefit from additional content and references. One such reference is found at NMSU on the web at http://web.nmsu.edu/~publhist/colhist.htm --Maidmarian55 (talk) 04:45, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Maidmarian55,
The information included on that web page is really interesting, although I was focused on the Columbus' history (before the Pancho Villa Raid). Thank you so much for that link.

Feedback

You provided some very good information regarding gun smuggling, however I believe that your information would be a lot more information if you provide names of the people being prosecuted and charges that they each faced. I also it would be interesting for users to be able to know what their sentences were for violating the law. Trinityo12 (talk) 06:29, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Trinityo12,
That information is about another article. Thank you

Corrected Feedback

Sorry about the information regarding gun smuggling. For some reason I am not sure where I read that you had added the addition but I guess I read wrong and I apologize. As for your addition on the history from 1891, I found the information provided was good basic information that can help a reader understand the basics of how the history began in Columbus. I really liked how you were able to include the population from 1915 because it is a way of being able to identify how much the town has grown over the years. I also think it was a good idea to include how locations you mentioned are now historical sites such as the museum. One recommendation I would make is being that the next sub section is the Pancho Villa invasion, I would add a conclusion to your section mentioning the Pancho Villa invasion, so it will introduce readers to the next sub section. Overall, you provided interesting and knowledgeable information. Trinityo12 (talk) 09:13, 21 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Trinityo12,
I was trying to collect as much information as I could about Columbus dates back to 1891, and I found those information. I did not edit the subdivision about Pancho Villa invasion, but I will consider your recommendation to edit that sections. Thank you so much for your comments.
