Sorry for taking so long to get to you...I've been busy with schoolwork for the past few months, so I haven't been actively checking my messages. I apologize again for that.
Answer to your upload question: your account has to be at least 4 days old (which it is by now) and you have to make 10 or more edits. Very simple and quick. For more in depth info, take a look here WP:UPIMG.
Again, welcome to Wikipedia. For a quick introduction to Wikipedia, take a look here WP:Introduction. Helping the with the backlogged articles is a bit tricky at time when you're not sure of the process yet. So I would recommend dabbling in editing your favorite pages first. After you feel comfortable enough, please do help out with the backlogged articles cuz we can't enough help there.
