Hello Hanacy. I found the msgs you left for me. regarding editing of the Japanese Interment camp Edit I did. I noticed the first posting disappeared. I thought I did not save it. so I reposted it. only to find out it was you. However, Can you tell me WHY you deleted my work? My time is very valuable and it is RARE that I spend time doing this. You called my edits "Vandalism" How did you arrive at such a thing? is it your ignorance? in my posting I did mention that a Plaque at the entrance commemorates the event of Minter Field ("Lerdo field" then) was used as a Japanese interment camp. That's as RELIABLE as it will get until more references are found. This type of History is likely to be erased when possible. Unlike places like Manzanar which are too famous to erase. I also took the time to make an Edit on WikiMapia regarding Lerdo Sheriff's Facility (Prisoner Labor camp) to the east of "Shafter Airport" AKA "Minter field", "Lerdo Field" are you going to erase that too?

I deleted your edits because according to several lists of Japanese American internment camps (e.g., this National Park Service book), the War Relocation Authority did not operate an internment camp at Shafter Field. I am far from defending the actions of the government during the internment, but I have never heard any claims that they tried to cover up what they did. The only reference I could find to Shafter Field was that it housed prisoners of war, here. (Minter Field's own website, here, does not even refer to prisoners of war.) This article is about the internment of Japanese Americans, who were not considered prisoners of war. They were interned because of the possibility that they might work against the US, not because they were actually enemy combatants.

I apologize for assuming that your edits were in bad faith after you added Shafter Field for the second time. However, it is just not true that there was an internment camp there. Hanacy (talk) 19:44, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

I should add that by "not true," of course I mean "not true according to the resources available to me." If you can find a reliable source that indicates that Shafter/Minter/Lerdo Field served as a Japanese American internment camp (as opposed to a prisoner of war camp), then I would have no objection to your adding that information to the article. If you mean WP:AIV, I don't have that much experience with it, but I don't think those users have been warned enough times to be blocked. Some of those edits definitely look like vandalism to me, so I'll keep an eye on it too (I found the article while patrolling recent changes, not because I usually watch it). As long as they are adding incorrect information or deleting valid information, not "merely editing from a slanted point of view", reverting their edits is vandal-fighting, not edit warring. do you want me to email you a photocopy of my highschool diploma???? and how am i not a reliable resource if i went to school there? lets say there was an incident at the school while i was attending...you would let an account of that incident be on wikipedia if it were shown to be covered on usa today's website. but where to you think usa today would have gotten it's account on what happened? from an eye witness who went to school there!!! if i would be considered a reliable informant to a newspaper website...then i should be able to properly inform you since all of your information on this sight is third hand heresay anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.111.222.200 (talk) 22:51, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

I can't speak for USA Today's policy on using random people on the internet as sources, but primary sources are not used on Wikipedia unless they're published by a reliable source or backed up by a reliable secondary source. I went through the last few edits in the page history on Titanomachy and I don't see any profanity, but I am going to assume good faith and remove the warning from 96.51.19.45's talk page. As you said in your edit, I saw that "Zeus" had been changed to "Jiyar" and I was reacting to that change.
