Requesting some help in article expansions

Greetings,

Since I stumbled upon related sources I initiated an article draft Draft:Irrational beliefs. I am looking for some help in article expansion. Please do visit the draft, and help expand if feel interested in the topic.

Thanks and warm regards

THanks, threw my ideas on the talkpage of the Draft :) HaltlosePersonalityDisorder (talk) 15:33, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for work at Haltlose personality disorder

Thank you for your work at Haltlose personality disorder. I am not knowledgeable about WP standards for medical articles, so I can't be very helpful or give you much praise on that front, but it does seem to be in good shape from a layperson's perspective. If you're receptive to feedback, I would kindly suggest that the use of rquote be limited and that your relevant quotes be integrated as block quotes into the article - but that is just a preference about style. (I removed a similar right quote from my muse, Willa Cather, for the same reason there; I think contextualizing and working into the prose is better.) But anyway: Thank you again for your work. It seems that the article is less likely to be deleted now, and for that I am appreciative. Urve (talk) 19:16, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I have a "to-do list" on the talkpage about ways to clean it up - and I'm double-checking by email with a professor in Germany that I haven't misquoted anything, etc. Isn't blockquote the more disruptive center-aligned quote that breaks up the page even more? Or are blockquotes just when I say Urve suggested that I "clean up the page to make it a bit less intimidating" so I complied? Because that is actually all over the article. Perhaps I just don't know enough ways to incorporate a quote; but I'm definitely open to suggestions on ways to change up the rquotes (ideally without just left-aligning them which I always find even more disruptive). I may even just elect to make a Wikiquote page about it and move some there - they are decent quotes that I like to attribute to the author rather than simply "paraphrase" myself...but some of them (there are three more on the talkpage even) can likely be moved over. Back to the issue of how to right-align other quote templates, I'll also just explain that several of the quotes are intended to "simplify" the section in a quick summary because I use relatively technical language. HLPD (talk) 20:08, 10 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I do mean the center-aligned ones. It is hard to do, since it is disruptive to the flow of the article, but I think it's better than a noncontextualized/nonintegrated quote block. However... Since the quotes serve an instrumental purpose that I didn't consider -- to simplify the prose and increase access, rather than being part of the prose (like adding a picture) -- I think your stylistic decision is totally okay. If I had the time and interest to do some flow reworking, I would try to integrate a few of them myself - but I don't, and I don't think it's bad. I was just thinking in terms of a potential future GA nomination, you might find some people take issue with it, but seeing as how you have a list of "to-do"s, that may be of little importance to you right now. :) Keep on! Urve (talk) 05:50, 11 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I do refrain from adding the sidequotes (only one, again as an "alternative summmary") on the Simple.Wikipedia page at https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haltlose_personality_disorder which I've found tremendously frustrating yet educational to try to write. Sadly AnomieBot doesn't pick up orphaned refs cross-wiki. I added a {{to do}} list on the talkpage of the main article so people can keep track of my scattered tasks :) HLPD (talk) 17:50, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

I am trying to put a Wikilink to a foreign-language Wikisource...so I cannot just use s: My effort, copied here, is not working...what's the answer? <ref name="pete">[[Pyotr Gannushkin|Gannushkin, Pyotr]], [[ru:s:Клиника психопатий, их статика, динамика, систематика/Статика психопатий/Группа неустойчивых психопатов]]</ref>

HLPD (talk) 04:55, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by "not working?" It seems to be working just fine for me.[1] 78.28.44.204 (talk) 11:01, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And if you are referring to the specific example you gave, that's likely because of how you pasted it. If you are using the visual editor you need to choose "plain text" after pasting wikitext copied from somewhere else. Perryprog (talk) 13:09, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
ru:s:Клиника психопатий, их статика, динамика, систематика/Статика психопатий/Группа неустойчивых психопатов does work here, but when I copy/paste your exact code over (no visual code) to an article, check out Haltlose_personality_disorder#cite_note-pete-55...it oddly breaks. HLPD (talk) 16:40, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This did the trick it seems. 78.28.44.204 (talk) 16:59, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! (For anyone reading along, ru:s: half-works, but s:ru: fully works) HLPD (talk) 17:00, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When adding links to sister projects, you need to start the link with a :, similar to how you would link to Category:Foo. For example, [[:no:Farmen]] gives no:Farmen. That being said, on articles you should use {{ill}}, because external links (which you've technically introduced) are strongly discouraged in the article space.
