Spaghetti, a God?

I'm kinda confused by your "spoof religion" of the Flying Spaghetti Monster that you refered to on your user page. Umm, I always saw religion as a respect to things/beings that deserve it, be it Shiva, Budda, God, Ahla or any other god you choose. I see it as a great disrespect to form a religion out of protest to something kids will forget about down the line. Do you remember everything you learned about in elementary school? I bet not. Re: Flying Spaghetti Monster

I agree that the fundies pushing creationism to be taught in school is bull,
I presonally think the truth lies in both major theories, but in poking fun at the more carismatic chirstian society you are also insulting people who are divoted chirstians but at the same time don't handle snakes and speek in tongues(no offense to those that do that sort of stuff.) I'm just trying to say not all chirstians fit the "fundie" steriotype, and only seeing that side of the spectrum is very narrow-minded.

Puzzled

There's a post on User talk:Dakward (by you) warning speedy deletion of Whore Mongrols. However, there's no reference in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Dakward to Dakward editing the "Whore Mongrols" page.
This makes me wonder about the connection between Dakward and Whore Mongrols.
Given that the evidence I've looked at suggests there's no connection, I deduce there must be other evidence I don't know about.
Can you enlighten me? Thanks in advance, Pdfpdf (talk) 04:45, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Response on user's talk page. Gromlakh (talk) 06:32, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Once the page was deleted, any contributions from him made to that particular page disappear.
Well there you go. I didn't know that. As they say, "you learn something new every day".
And thanks for explaining what the other evidence is, too. Most appreciated. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 06:45, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Dennis Oliver - Again

Hi, the article you filed for SD (succesfully) on January 18th, 2008, Dennis Oliver, came back on February 16th by the same editor. I just wanted to let you know. I filed it for speedy deletion again. Thiste (talk) 02:41, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

your changes to Randy Couture

hi i made a change to Randy Coutures article as you said that he is one of only two fighters to be a world champion in two different weight divisions along with BJ Penn but i changed it to three along with Dan Henderson but you deleted it and said hat his titles werent in the UFC Yes his titles were in Pride but that still counted as a major mma promotion before its purchase by Zuffa so I think that if your going to put Randy as one of only two fighters to win titles in two different weight divisions then you should put that he is one of only two fighters to have one titles in two different weight divisions in the ufc or just change it back to the way i had it which is the right way —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cjr1993 (talkcontribs) 17:03, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Dennis Oliver article

I understand that the Dennis Oliver article created on January 2008 did not have any references and links, reason why it was deleted. But, the new article done in February 2008 did have almost 10 references and links to newspapers and site proving every word in the article. Dennis also was part of the group winner of the ACE award and director assitant, including the roles in several theatre pieces. The article has been deleted and I beg you to reconsider to restore it. thank you! Ralicia (talk) 14:30, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Ralicia

The Wikipedia Hall of Shame

this is a real page about a real information site online since 2004. it should NOT be removed from here WITHOUT debate.

As taken from the front page of the website, it's purpose is self explanatory: The Wikipedia Hall of Shame!

..."The assortment of video's and legit articles shown are all done in good taste with well meaning intent or possible good humour where ever applicable, so feel free to share your ideas, please come back later. There will be heaps of things added all the time, crikey mates..."

[1] is not a trolling article, I was trying to inform about it's existence, I have been on this site for years and deserve respect, don't I.

Thanks, Cathy cathytreks (talk) 17:37, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

I did not understand why you are removing a legit article. please help me to understand why you would remove a article that meets a NPOV

but will comply with wiki rules, sorry I did not see the messages and did not understand, I thought a troll was removing the page, again sorry. btw other were using my account back in 2005, I have done no harm and if you bothered to look you would see that. Cathy cathytreks (talk) 17:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Gromlakh, I have been on Wikipedia since it started up, I lost my old account due to a password thief, believe me, I am sorry about this article post, and it was an honest mistake, let us believe in the good faith principle upon which wikipedia was founded, for I do about you my good young man, my best wishes to you regardless of this misunderstanding. Cathy cathytreks (talk) 17:56, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Deletion of a Page may reduce an Encyclopaedia's overall value

Deletion of a well-written, well-sourced article on the basis of a "perceived" lack of notability or even what might be considered to some "controversial articles" reduces the total information of wikipedia. You Gromlakh of all editors ought to be aware of that fact. cathytreks (talk) 18:08, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Assume good faith

From you I do not expect "good faith", yet it is my Hebrew upbringing that cause's me to hope for all people of Good Faith.

For your lack of consideration ONCE AGAIN you owe me an apology, and it is you who should have left me alone to begin with, Why are you one of the rudest and most unkind people to have to have dealing's with on Wikipeadia?, who knows!, but this is goodbye, as you are a waste of my time and energy in my efforts to teach you about kindness. Good Bye! cathytreks (talk) 18:58, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

My Changes to Bas Rutten's page

i added that he appears alongside in a fictional tv program in the newly released Grand Theft Auto IV... at this time i have not seen any official documentation stating this, bu i have played the game along with several others and witnessed this myself, as well as his name along with fictional show the mens room co-host Jeremy St Ives, also being mentioned in the credits in the game insert players manual. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.253.125.151 (talk) 13:58, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

one-off Flag Icons

I agree with your assessment, but it wasn't immediately clear by reading WP:Flags that this style is inappropriate. I think Do not emphasize nationality without good reason could mention infoboxes in a specific way, but I'm not about to edit it myself. BenTrotsky (talk) 14:56, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Affliction

Greetings! I just wanted to give you a heads up that I created a page for Affliction's first show Banned. I figured the time was right as matches have been officially announced and it is a pretty big show. I didn't put Aleksander vs. Buentello yet as it hasn't officially been announced. I know you guys that MMA project will keep it looking great. Here it is Affliction: Banned. Thanks man! Udar55 (talk) 04:08, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Hey! It was deleted immediately as the Wiki mod deemed it as reading too much as a promotional too and not noteworthy. Feel free to start it up again Udar55 (talk) 20:29, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

fedor

OK, again

1. Fedor Emelianenko BORN in UKRAINE.

2. His surname is 100% Ukrainian. (believe me I know what is Ukrainian and what is Russian surnames, look this is RUSSIAN surnames: Stanislavski, Lomonosov, Chekhov, Korolyov. And this is UKRAINIAN surnames: Shevchenko, Tymoshenko, Shevchenko, Emelianenko.

3. In some fights he even fought under the UKRAINIAN flag (checkout the last seconds of this vid: youtube.com/watch?v=pp4o1vzQvik ). So why he fought under the Ukrainian flag, if he is 100% Russian?

Yes, he grew up in Russia, he was training with Russians, he talks Russian, even Russian President came to see his fights, thats why he repeatedly has identified himself as Russian in interviews. But his family is Ukrainian and this is the fact.

As much as i dont agree with this guy becuz he always thinks hes right and deletes everything he doesnt do himself, i can see why he wont allow the change to ukraine instead of Russia. He was born in what is NOW UKRAINE. When he was born it was part of the USSR or Russia. I would post them both and say hes a ukrainian russian and be done with it. I agree with both of you. And your right about the flag thing in the vid. He probly did it for the same reason i said before.--Chode722 (talk) 05:28, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Quinton Jackson

I have a source for rampge on jackass. http://www.jackassworld.com/videos/1579077/195769. But i cant edit his page because his page is on semi-protection. go to the 45 second mark. --Chode722 (talk) 00:36, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion

Why was the page Jewnikah speedily deleted? I did not mean it as an attack page. How was it one? --Comradesandalio (talk) 23:38, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

A late "Thank you for helping me."

I just looked at my user page's history, and saw how you helped me last September. I would just like to thank you for that, because I don't go on much anymore, and I dunno how long that would have been up if you hadn't helped me. So once agian, thank you. Fedor

I have nominated Fedor Emelianenko for a featured article candidacy here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. .--2008Olympianchitchat 08:57, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Flags

Hey, I reverted your removal of the flags. While I have nothing against people being bold, there is per WT:MMA#Flags not consensus to remove them yet. Moe Epsilon is not a featured article reviewer and was only pointing out his opinion on the matter. See his comments about bringing the flag-usage it up at FAC here. WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum

Hi Gromlakh/Archive 2,

I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".

Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.

  • Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
  • It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
  • Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
  • I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.

What you can do now:

1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
2. If you're a law student,
(You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Gromlakh,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
