Deletion Review

Hi there, I've made a number of changes to your submission - normally something I'd never do as the closing admin, since obviously it's generally not ideal for someone involved to look like they're meddling with someone appealing their actions!

I'm still a Wikipedia noob and have some trouble following the Wikipedia guidelines. (In my opinion, it would for example be helpful, to provide an example after the instructions here:

  • Sure, so I'll give the following examples:

If you want to respond to a specific comment like this paragraph,

You'd indent with a colon directly underneath it and write
If I then wanted to respond, I'd add another colon, and so on

  • If you wanted to add a general next comment to the discussion (which is what I'd suggest at the DRV), use an asterisk to make a bulletpoint, underneath all the other paragraphs, and write like this. As always, add four tildes (~) at the end of your (final) paragraph.
  • If you want to link to a Wikipedia page, you'd add them like this: [[Wikipedia:Deletion review]]. If you wanted to add a link to an external webpage, you'd add a link like this: [https://www.bbc.co.uk BBC homepage] . Note the different number of [, and adding the words after the link. Signatures normally go at the end of a paragraph, rather than on a new line (there are exceptions, but best to use this and learn by experience) Nosebagbear (talk) 21:19, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there,

While the deletion was endorsed (including in terms that there wasn't currently enough sourcing available to warrant a return to article status), at least my interpretation of it seemed to be people were happy to have it be userfied.

Let me know if you'd like that to happen. You probably wouldn't want to try returning it to being an article for at least a few months, but you could work on it at your leisure. Alternatively, if you want to get some experience elsewhere and then have it userfied, just let me know at a future date (just come to my TP). Nosebagbear (talk) 17:51, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message! Yes I think userfying seems like a good compromise and would still enable Tim's ideas to be found on Wikipedia. However I'm not really sure how to proceed for that step and how much I'd be allowed to get involved? Especially with all the "special purpose user" and potential climate change issues? I had hoped for maybe something of a cooperation, where I would write something and for example you or others could make sure everything is in line with Wikipedia guidelines? I'm also sure that Tim himself would be willing to work on any potential issues, but a user working on his page seems to be a no-go on Wikipedia?
