Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Mountain dew-sm.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 23:39, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:LamarMD.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:LamarMD.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:29, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

December 2009

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Lamar Advertising Company. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 22:27, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

Thanks for uploading File:Lamar glossy logo.jpg to Wikipedia. The image, however, is not in the public domain and the copyright is owned by Lamar Advertising Company (see disclaimer). Copyrighted images should not be uploaded to Wikipedia unless it falls into the fair-use guidelines on Wikipedia. Basically, that means that copyrighted images can be uploaded when no possible free image (one that is public domain, GFDL, etc.) could convey the purpose of the copyrighted image. In this case, uploading a logo under fair-use would be appropriate, as no free-use image could convey a company's logo. In the future, be sure to upload copyrighted images that fall into fair-use guidelines by selecting the proper upload tool and following the instructions there. Be sure to read up and understand this before hand, though, to prevent future mistakes. I already fixed File:Lamar glossy logo.jpg, so it should be all good. If you have any questions or need further clarifications, please reply here or leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 23:15, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blank Lamar Bulletin Board.jpg

Hi GobiusWiki. I was wondering how File:Blank Lamar Bulletin Board.jpg, an image that you recently removed from the article Lamar Advertising Company in this edit, is a copyright violation? Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 15:06, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please do not removed the maintenance templates from the top of the article without either fixing the problems stated by the templates, or saying why the templates shouldn't be there (either in your edit summary or on the talk page, preferably the talk page as you can type as much as you want and a discussion may easily ensue). Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 15:17, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BritishAmerican Business moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, BritishAmerican Business, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 19:51, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:BritishAmerican Business, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
