If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ETC (Water) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ROBERTMFROMLI | TK/CN 23:46, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article ETC (Water) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable article on a bottled water brand.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tips...

Hi Global940, I see you are still working on improving the ETC (Water) article. So, here are a few tips that might help:

  • Put the citations inline in the text. Such as "This is some text in an article(citation). Here's a few more lines... and a few more(citation)"
  • Make sure the articles you cite correctly portray what is in the text (otherwise, they cannot be used). Inotherwords, if the article says "Acme Widgets has been deemed the leading widget manufacturer by Random Standards Body(cite)" then ensure that the citation makes such a claim.
  • Take a look at this article for a good example of what the final article should look like. You can hit the top most edit link on the page to see how things like the infobox and sections are created (as long as you don't hit save, it won't change anything on that article). Alternatively (or in addition to that), you can check the links I provided above which go into detail about editing, formatting, wiki-markup, citations, infoboxes, etc.
  • Note the categories on the Perrier article. You should add categories to the one you are working on as well. Bottled water brands is at least one that applies.
  • You need to reformat the external links section, again you can check the Perrier article for how to do that. Don't forget to put the appropriate one(s) in the infobox as well.

If you've got any questions, or get stuck on anything, just let me know! Simply drop a note here below mine, then go to my talk page, create a new section (you can name it "Talkback"/"Help" or whatever else seems appropriate) and put {{Talkback|Global940}} in the body of the message, add an edit summary in the edit summary field (such as "leaving talkback notice") and hit the save button.
