Anne Boleyn
I see you wrote this on the Anne Boleyn talk page:
- I have removed a link to the Luminarium encyclopedia article on Anne Boleyn. I read through it and it is based on the work of J.A. Froude or A.A. Pollard, both of whom have been discredited in this field by much later research.
I'm not sure why you would delete a link to an encyclopedia article just because the research on which it was based has been superseded. In fact, you say 'discredited', which sounds a rather strong word to me. Certainly David Irving is discredited, but Froude and Pollard (did you mean A.F.?) were merely scholars of their time. By removing the link you have denied other people the opportunity to read the article for themselves and come to their own decisions about it. You seem to have set yourself up as something of an arbiter of scholarship. Do you not think that anybody else has the ability to take a critical approach to historical writing? I once wrote an essay for Martin Ingram in which I stated an opinion that had been held by Godfrey Davies nearly sixty years earlier, not realising that his view had subsequently been revised. This is not, however, a good reason for the college removing the Oxford History of England from the library.--Oxonian2006 (talk) 18:04, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
