Category Tags

Hi there. I noticed you're adding a lot of content concerning Syracuse soccer. There are certain things that you can add to make the article more like other articles in Wikipedia. For instance, I would suggest adding an "external link" section, even if it's just linking to the player's SUAthletics page so it gives the reader more context of where the article is coming from. Also, you might want to add category tags to the page to help better organize Wikipedia. For the individual profiles, you might want to try adding [[Category:American soccer players]] to the end of each player's profile.

Although I'm not sure whether the articles you're adding passes WP:N, it's still a nice effort. Good luck with the rest of your project. Chengwes 03:05, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Justin Arena

The article Justin Arena has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Being a college varsity player is not considered enough for notability. Generally, you need to be a pro player. Copyright problems

Please take the time to read Wikipedia:Copyrights. I have had to delete all the player articles that you created because they violated the copyright of the Syracuse Orange website. You can't just copy and paste material. Also, I note that some of the articles had already been deleted as non-notable. You might want to read Wikipedia:Notability as well. Be aware that continuing to post copyright material will lead to blocking. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 06:49, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
