Welcome to my talk page! I'm a Wikipedia newbie, so any advice you have would be great to hear. FutureSocialNeuroscientist (talk) 11:12, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hi Ingrid! It's nice to meet you. I love meeting fellow geeky women on Wikipedia! I'm really excite to work with you and your class this semester. I'm impressed that you worked out how to use a template already - that's fantastic! I know learning how to do everything around here can be a little bit difficult, but I'm here to help. You can ask me anything you want on my talk page, or you can send me an email at Special:Emailuser/Keilana. I'll also be doing some live help sessions, probably through IRC, but possibly through Skype or something also. If I'm not available for whatever reason, you can always ask a question at the Teahouse, which is a friendly place for new editors to ask questions of the experienced Wikipedians on staff. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia! Keilana|Parlez ici 17:21, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction

Hi! Just created my user account and wanted to leave a fellow classmate a message, I like your username, its much more informative than mine ha. --Narmstrong484 (talk) 11:17, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ha ha, I try! Good to meet you. FutureSocialNeuroscientist (talk) 14:41, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I like your user name too, do you have any idea where you want to go to grad school? User:Bpeteresenroosevelt 12:28, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd love to go to NYC, but the more realistic answer is Wayne State University, which would also be awesome. I've met the professor I would work with there, and he's great. FutureSocialNeuroscientist (talk) 21:46, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
NYU, not NYC! Whoops. FutureSocialNeuroscientist (talk) 10:08, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Helpme}} before the question.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and should be treated accordingly.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 05:27, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for the welcome! I will be sure to read everything you have suggested (I've read some of it already). I will also get an "educational assignment" banner up on my assigned page as soon as I can. On a different note, how did you get spaces into your user name? I'm jealous! Watchlist email

Hey Ingrid! If you want to receive emails about items on your watchlist being changed, you can go to your preferences in the upper right hand corner of the interface. Then, click on the tab labeled "User profile", and scroll down to "email options". Then check the box next to "Email me when a page or file on my watchlist is changed" and click "save". I hope this works! If it doesn't, let me know. Have a great rest of the week! Best, Keilana|Parlez ici 17:27, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good work!

The Editor's Barnstar
For your careful and thoughtful work on Mu wave. I've seen a lot of student editing projects, and your work stands out for your conscientiousness and attention to detail. --Tryptofish (talk) 21:59, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm overwhelmed! Thank you so much, Tryptofish! I'm just trying to do a good job so that someone else (like you) doesn't have to go back and fix what I've trampled on. I really appreciate it. FutureSocialNeuroscientist (talk) 01:07, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mu wave GA nomination.

Greetings, FutureSocialNeuroscientist! I just wanted to let you know that I will be reviewing your GA nomination for Mu wave. I'll leave a link to the review page here, for reference. Good luck! :) Like my singing? Ha-la-la-la-la-la-LA-LAAA!!! (talk) 14:45, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
