Summer is Over

Alas - summer is over - time to get your butt to work. I was contemplating another round. In groups of three (five articles - completed by January). Your thoughts on this adventure would be valued.--JimmyButler (talk) 18:33, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

By chance...

Would you have access to the most recent few copies of Clinical Transplantation? I have up to 2008 and I need Jun 2009. Strombollii (talk) 00:24, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, wait. Just kidding. Strombollii (talk) 00:30, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
...lol? :) —Ed (talkcontribs) 00:31, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Bravo, Elon, for maintaining your journal subscriptions. FoodPuma 05:34, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For a tiny private school with no grad, we do alright, I suppose.Strombollii (talk) 15:30, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Chris, keep in mind that they "do alright" because of the buckets of tuition money they make you throw at them...--Yohmom (talk) 02:59, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yo-mamma? Socialized Education? The tax payers are supplementing your "state-run education" @ UNC-Ch. Damn those liberal democrats - next thing you know they will start suggesting everyone is "entitled" to health care. Yo-daddy.JimmyButler (talk) 03:23, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If journal access is determined by tuition amounts, imagine what I'd have had I gone to a certain other school that requires buckets and buckets and buckets of money... Strombollii (talk) 05:48, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I thought they lost half their endowment in the stock market? FoodPuma 20:21, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Half of a trillion dollars is still a heck of a lot of money. Strombollii (talk) 20:48, 3 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A weed by any other name...

Ok, so true, marijuana is another name for cannabis, note I didn't revert... but do we really need to clarify that? If so could we do so using a block quote from "Legalize it" by Peter Tosh? :D Simonm223 (talk) 20:16, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rastafarianism is one of the few religions that I don't despise. It's small, has an interesting history and generally doesn't encourage it's members to a) go around trying to overthrow functioning governments or b) kill folks. And it's produced a lot of really great music... and it is tangentially related to Pastafarianism... very tangentially... Simonm223 (talk) 21:11, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
And, yes, Ganja is good.Simonm223 (talk) 21:13, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The "Ask me anything" interview on Reddit

Hey guys, yes FoodPuma and seattlesurf are one and the same. Thanks. FoodPuma 11:18, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do you live in Seattle? I live in u-district and want to meet you if you do. I promote the use of Wikipedia for describing health conditions and I think your getting Osteochondritis dissecans to FA status is a fantastic way to raise public awareness of conditions for which the public otherwise has little access to information. You say you got support from the Wikipedia community and mods who helped you create this article, but I really think that things like this should also get support from public health authorities and I would like to talk to you about this. Can we get in touch regardless of where you live? My email is lane@bluerasberry.com. Thanks for your attention, and thank you also for your excellent work. Was reading your AMA while I was at the airport today. Just wanted to give you due recognition for your great work - you earned it! m.o.p 18:58, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
