Some queries

Bri, I have shifted my post from User talk:Smallbones#A potential Signpost article here. Given that you are part of the Signpost team, Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/About, and we have had some sort of interaction before, I have pinged you. If you feel that any of this needs another member of the team to make comments please feel free to direct them here. Or if something needs to be discussed elsewhere on Wikipedia I am alright with that too.

I need to write this since I want to ask editors on Wikipedia some questions. Bri, you have seen one of these questions, User talk:Another Believer#Your views. I understand that if I use the Signpost name during future questions/discussions, I must be careful to keep it clear that I am not a part of the editorial team but that only my submission will be to Signpost, irrespective of whether the editorial board decides to publish the article or not. This aspect is important since writing for Signpost gives certain directions to writing that other publications may not have. In short I want to use good practices here to interact with editors in relation to this Signpost article. If you have any inputs, any whatsoever, of how I can improve these communications please do let me know.

The current part of the article that I am writing is about Ukraine-Russia. I want to ask some of the top editors of 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine about their interaction with the article and if they have any good practices they have to share with others, or any interesting edit etc. It is important to note that my article is not about debating the content itself, but rather how Wikipedia editors handle that content within the confines of Wikipedia. Do you have any comments regarding this. For example would it be better to directly interact with users on their talk page, or should I ping them here? I went ahead and asked 10 Wikipedians, 5 from uk.wikipedia.org and 5 from ru.wikipedia.org. There were some positive responses, two of which have been partly incorporated. I will hold off asking English language Wikipedians if they would like to answer a few questions. Thank you. FacetsOfNonStickPans (talk) 14:23, 9 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've kept it simple when asking people if I could ask some questions (1) that I am a volunteer Wikipedia editor not professionally associated with Wikipedia in any way (2) that I am trying to write an article for one of Wikipedia's community newsletter (3) then go and ask if they would be alright with a few questions, either on the talk page itself or by email.
