No offense, but instead of talking about obviously-needed changes and improvements, just do it. If you're taking an unreferenced POV and massaging it into a statement with references....well, why not? As for the e-scooters vs gas-scooters; sure, keep the gas-powered references to a minimum, but...don't forget they are relevant from time-to-time. For example, my state's laws intermingle X size gas or electric motor in the same sentences. It seems silly to remove what's effectively a very valid reference & comparison point. Canada per your question re electric bikes

Nice to see another KDE Linux user. Canada has federal standards but provincial administration. In practical terms, this means that the feds fund things if the provinces agree. But traffic, including bikes of all kinds is a provincial responsibility. Hence the differences province to province. On things the provinces realize are big items, they will discuss and make an agreement, e.g., shape of signs or words on them, whether you can turn right on a red light and if you have to stop or not first (now you do everywhere in Canada). No idea if this helps. The main issue with e-bikes is that the provinces accept the basic federal description of them, but them fully decide all by themselves how to regulate them, so we have everything from fully legal to extensive restriction. Hope this helps. I actually printed out local provincial law here so I can show it if ever stopped: these bikes are not frequently used here.
