New userright

Hi EuroCar, I'm Dan. I'm putting together a couple of new RfCs (requests for comment) designed to make our RfA (requests for adminship) process work better, but to make it work, I need help from some of the six people who had RfAs this year that narrowly failed (including you). I've skimmed your contributions, and I see that you're still active and doing well. The first RfC I'm proposing would do just one thing: give you (if you're interested) and some of the others the right to see deleted pages (the "viewdeleted" userright). There are many things admins do that can't be done right by anyone else, because no one else can see everything we can see and learn from what we're doing. (For instance, for anti-spam and anti-vandal work, admins often change their messages and approach depending on whether the editor have created similar pages that got deleted.) Being able to see deleted pages would also put you into the workflow and give you a chance to see the full picture of what admin work is like. Of course ... I won't include your name in the RfC unless you want to run for RfA again some day, and you'd like to start using the viewdeleted userright to help you prepare. Are you interested? - Dank (push to talk) 13:27, 14 October 2015 (UTC)

P.S. Your thoughts are welcome at WT:RFA#Two proposed RfCs on the viewdeleted userright. (This isn't canvassing, since you're one of the people in the target demographic.) - Dank (push to talk) 17:28, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
