Welcome!

Hello, EscrowTherapy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Boston Luxe Real Estate, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Boston Luxe Real Estate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vrenator (talk) 15:58, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.

This nerd is ridiculous. I put up a page about a company in the middle of Boston that has been there for 9 months and didn't have an article. I wrote it once and he deleted it. Fine, I rewrote it and he placed a block. Why don't you wait for five minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. It was in no way promotional. Look at the record (if there is a backup); it was purely factual in every statement. No opinions were conveyed in anyway. Does this decline in anyway deal with the ban??? My lord this is absurdity.

Decline reason:

Attacking others and calling them nerds is not going to get you unblocked - if anything, it is more likely to get your Talk page access revoked -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:29, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

FURTHER EDIT FOR THE ABOVE ^ : I was adding a bibliography - just moseying alone trying to flesh out an article into something useful - with articles written about the company (you can google up several). Also, are you people serious right now? This is a "welcoming community"???

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Watch who you're calling "nerd." You failed to read the rules here. Most local companies are not eligible for inclusion; my deleting the article the first time should have been a tip-off. A non-notable real estate firm in business for nine months does not ring the bell. If I hadn't deleted it, another administrator would have. Facts by themselves do not matter. Notability and facts do. If you have a legit request for unblocking, now is the time to make it. Another insult or waste of time is going to result in the loss of your talk page privileges. This community does welcome new users, but there are standards by which it abides. PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:33, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a business directory - it carries articles about companies only if they satisfy the WP:NCORP notability guidelines - being in existence for 9 months is not sufficient. I'd suggest you have a read of that, together with WP:V and WP:RS, and even WP:CIVIL, before you consider your next unblock request -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 16:35, 5 May 2011 (UTC) Read through this, verifiable third party articles are available all over the place. Did you bother googling before you banded together here? I have a legitimate point. There is notability. I was adding it in. Thanks. I am glad you posted this though because it doesn't provide a minimum of reference. Also, you are welcome for making this uber exciting talk page[reply]

By the way: The civility rules apply to the edit summaries as well. I volunteer my time here when it allows; kindly don't suggest that I have better things to do. PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:38, 5 May 2011 (UTC) a) Alright if we are swinging things around let's set a bar for what is "non-notable": 1 Million is gross revenue sound about right? What is the standard? Ambigious - love it. b) How can I get notability together if it keeps getting deleted. I was clearly still editing it (I presume it shows you, what it shows me ie someone is working on the article) and having never been on wikipedia in any fashion except a broswer means there is a learning curve. OOPS NO WAIT DELETED YAY. c) I don't know the tags (obviously) I don't know the format (still learning it) and was saving and editting as I went to put something actual worthwhile together. d) How can an article be put together if a guy who doesn't know what he is doing gets deleted then blocked. e) I feel so welcome and fuzzy. In the same way that a baby gazelle feels warm and fuzzy while getting mauled by a pack of lions. f) Thanks for that warm fuzzy feeling thus far. Really enjoying my stay. g) I'm not trying to be a jerk here. I'm trying to write an article that's it. How do you know if it is notable or not? Did you do an inkling of research?[reply]

Let's try this again: Most local companies are not eligible for inclusion per the links left here by another user. This is not a business directory. Your username suggests that you are a representative of the company, making it a conflict of interest. Your name is what got you blocked, not your recreation of the article. This site gets literally hundreds of attempts each day to promote some sort of business or venture by those involved with those ventures. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 16:47, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Let me explain - escrow therapy is a joke. Escrow monies are not supposed to be used hence why they are held "in escrow." The idea that you would use escrow monies (which are generally fairly sizable) for personal therapy of any kind is highly amusing to me. EscrowTherapy (talk) 16:59, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And here's some more from me that I hope will help (I'd started so I'll finish)...
  • I'm sorry, but you don't get to "set the bar" for notability - the notability guidelines are already specified in WP:NCORP, so please read that and please try to abide by it. Also, the article as written did not indicate any importance at all, and so fell foul of the Speedy deletion A7 criterion (see WP:CSD), which has a lower bar than the notability requirements.
  • I can appreciate that you feel frustrated at having your creation deleted, but the way to respond is to civilly ask the deleting admin to explain - not just recreate it, and then become abusive when it gets deleted again and you are blocked.
  • There is a suggestion of a conflict of interest here (see WP:COI), and though it might not completely rule you out from writing about the company, it is very much recommended that we do not write about subjects in which we have a private, commercial, or professional interest.
  • How are you to establish notability and create the article? What you should do, I suggest, is check the WP:NCORP guidelines and decide how the company satisfies them, and then search for reliable sources (as per WP:RS) which verify (WP:V) that notability. Then if you can start the article with at least one assertion that satisfies the criteria and is supported by one reliable source, it is more likely to survive.
  • An alternative approach would be to create the article in your own user space, say at User:EscrowTherapy/Boston Luxe Real Estate, and then you could spend more time working on it - and even ask someone to review it before moving it to article space. An admin can "userfy" a copy of the deleted article for you if you want.
  • (Having said all this, mind, I seriously doubt you will be able to establish notability for a local real estate company - but it's up to you if you want to try).
  • Of course, before you can do any of this you will need to get yourself unblocked, and for that you will need to convince a reviewing admin that you understand why you were blocked, that you understand the requirements for creating an article, and that you will follow the Wikipedia guidelines and will refrain from being abusive - and you will have to satisfy them that there is no conflict of interest, or that if there is then it is not a problem
Best regards -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:07, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Now we're getting somewhere. I was posting this comment at the same time that Boing! was posting. That makes sense and if you'd explained that to me earlier, we wouldn't have had this misunderstanding. Here's what I'll do: I'll unblock the account and set up something called a user subpage which will allow you to create your article online but off of the article space without fear of it being deleted. You'll find it with your most recent version at User:EscrowTherapy/Boston Luxe Real Estate. If the company really is notable after only nine months and it has third-party references, then an article is likely in order. I hope this settles the matter. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:13, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

hey thanks. also, I figured out how to sign my name. EscrowTherapy (talk) 17:17, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Believe me, we'd rather not block users and when something like this happens, you'll find the mistake corrected as soon as possible. You'll also find that the community really is welcoming and all of us are more than happy to help you along. PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:20, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Green War moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, The Green War, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Praxidicae (talk) 18:55, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:The Green War, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:37, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:The Green War

Hello, EscrowTherapy. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "The Green War".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Passengerpigeon (talk) 02:52, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
