Re: Jessica Schmitt

Hi there, I thought I would write you a quick note about the page you created called Jessica schmitt. The reason it is up for deletion is because the article does not assert enough notability. You can read about what is considered notable for Olympic athletics here: Wikipedia:Notability (sports) in section 7. In its current state, your article only asserts that Ms. Schmitt only competed in the trials. Wikipedia:Notability (sports) says "Athletes from any sport are considered notable if they have competed at either the Summer or Winter, Olympic or Paralympic Games." If Ms. Schmitt has done so, please add the {{hangon}} tag to the page under the speedy deletion tag and then mention that on the article's talk page. Just an FYI

This person you have created the page for isn't an Olympian, they are just a member of a small sporting team. It meets db-hoax as of the information you have implemented but it would have met db-person anyway. Please just bear this in mind. ToxicWasteGrounds 19:54, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
