RE: UKIP "Policies" segment

Here is wikipedia's policy on third party sources: Wikipedia:Third-party sources. It explicitly mentions politicians discussing their own campaign or ideology as an example of an inappropriate first party source in the very lead. -- 4idaho (talk) 21:07, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Some opposers of this move have now contended that there is a "Critical fault in proposal evidence", which brings the opinions expressed into question. Please indicate if this assertion in any way affects your position with respect to the proposed move. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:37, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Teahouse Host

I see you are a Teahouse host I recently joined today :) TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:56, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Hey TeaLover1996, I see you got your signature all figured out too! I guess I'll see you around at the Teahouse EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 20:58, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I asked at the Teahouse how to sort it out by displaying what I have by typing (~~~~) and I worked it out its a lot better than copy and pasting all the time and now I save a lot of time that I wasted before, and yes hope to see you around the Teahouse too, maybe Ill be making a brew the next time you see me we will see TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:01, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

You do not get to unilaterally decide that an image is PD-textlogo.... especially when it isn't. The teal colored part of the logo is certainly not below the threshold of originality. It was event discussed in the review that I closed just a while ago that it was not PD-text logo due to it being more complex than the copyrighted logo in this document. I've revered all of your changes. If you disagree, open a discussion at WP:NFCR and please don't make such changes without consensus. Cheers, TLSuda (talk) 13:31, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

@TLSuda: And that is where you are wrong. Look at the Commons rules. Commons has stricter restrictions than en.wiki but it would still be allowed there. In fact I may upload it there. Look at the examples in the link for more information. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 13:41, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
The website (PDF) that I linked you to is from the US Copyright Office. We side with that over all policies. (Law is more important than our rules). Also, there is no consensus to change it to that on En.WP. You cannot override a lack of consensus. If you wanna upload it on Commons, that's up to you, and if it lasts over there, then thats fine. Do not change the local file unless and until you have consensus to do so. TLSuda (talk) 15:30, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

Arthur (season 19)

Hi EoRdE6, I am respectfully of the opinion that this determination is not consistent with speedy delete criteria. The criteria for speedy under G3 hoax is "This includes blatant and obvious misinformation...". As noted on the article talk page, the references placed into the article related specifically to the 18th season. The episode list is supported by this obvious S18 episode list and this reference only talks of S18 and is from September 2014. This is blatant and obvious misinformation and should be speedied under the existing criteria. If you have a more compelling argument, I'm open to it. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:13, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: "Hoax to the point of vandalism" is the criteria actually. More importantly it appeared to me that the user was attempting to build the new article off the striction of the old article by copy pasting the episode box. I just don't think that was a vandalistic hoax as much as a newer users under construction article. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 12:46, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Well, I do still disagree, what with there being no indication of a S19 pickup out there, although I understand your point and appreciate your assumption of good faith. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:45, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
I did find whispers. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:51, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
IMDb seems to think very differently... Take a look at that too. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 16:59, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Yes, though WP:RS/IMDB and WP:CRYSTAL (note future airdates). Anyhow, I'm not going to fight the CSD matter, because I think there is a bit of a likelihood that S19 will exist. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:57, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Up to you, I'm just quite sure it doesn't classify a hoax. It may be worth an AfD or lots of cleanup. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 16:59, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

I've dropped the PROD. I found references to support S19. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:14, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Reverted edits

Just to let you know, I reverted the edits you made to the robotics portal link in the Robot article. I see no overall difference. Writer freak Contributions 17:10, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

More reverted edits

You can unlink "history," but keep the robotics portal, please. Don't undo the edit, make another edit. Writer freak Contributions 19:13, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

@Writer freak: Portal template is already on the article, right here. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 19:14, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
@EoRdE6: Sorry. I didn't see the portal at the bottom. I moved it from the middle to the top. Most people don't read the whole article anyways. Writer freak Contributions 19:18, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Message from Jill441

EoRdE6, I received your message about my suggestions to the Chorus Angelicus page - I have and will continue to have for many years personal experience with this choir, and my information comes from my experiences and information from the artistic director himself. Where can I properly cite this, or is this still unacceptable? Thank you for working hard to make sure wikipedia is at its best.

Thanks, Jill441 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jill441 (talkcontribs) 02:37, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

@Jill441: Hi Jill and thanks for joining Wikipedia. I think the best place I can point you to answer your question is WP:ORIGINAL. Basically, though you may know the information, there has to be a source (whether online, in the news, in a book etc) that will support that statement or claim. I also want to remind you that this is an encyclopedia and while going in depth is great, avoid focus on very small details or times, dates, and people that a subject to frequent change. Hope this helps you on your way! EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 03:16, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, JrolesGuy, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Uhyeahright (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. This is not my account and i do not know who this is they just gave me a barnstar and i said thx. This is the 2nd time i have been accused unless you have proof plz do not post these on my talk page thank you. JrolesGuy (talk) 17:00, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

It was a AGF warning message; an account that pops up out of nowhere and gives a barnstar to a specific user, especially one just proved to have multiple accounts, it concerning to any established editor. I gave you the notice to remind you again of the policy, meatpuppets or sockpuppets are the rules surrounding them. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 18:06, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

Do not presume to tell me how to behave at the Teahouse

And by the way, I also know how to sign my own messages. I am one of the original hosts at Teahouse. I've been there since it started. If you have a concern with how I, or any other host answers a question, enquire on their talk page. The dude I was rude to I was purposely rude to. He is a COI editor who was very careful to hide that at the tea house, but was full of ours, we's and us 's at another editor's talk page. Don't know how you feel about it, but I'm dead set against wasting time on COI editors. Especially when they are being deceptive. John from Idegon (talk) 06:12, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

@John from Idegon: No offense intended, but since you have been at the Teahouse for awhile you should be well aware it aims to be a friendly environment, for all new editors. And what are you on about signing messages? If you are talking about my preload, it is because I deal with many new users who don't know how to sign their messages. If you don't want to deal with COI editors, don't. Someone else will come along and handle it, maybe even in a friendly way. Maybe direct them to WP:PAIDHELP. I help out there occasionally. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 06:17, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
(Personal attack removed) your supposedly oh so helpful link doesn't even work. Perhaps if you spent more time learning hoe rather than trying to teach what you don't know, the teahouse would be the friendly helpful place it's supposed to be. Although I am not going to waste my time digging up the diffs, I've seen several instances of you giving downright incorrect advice at Teahouse.[citation needed] when you give a new editor incorrect advice, you know what they do? Quit! Exactly what the teahouse wad designed to avoid. I asked one of the first questions asked at Teahouse. I got a very helpful answer and was so impressed, I found an adopter and learned how things work with a mentor. There is lots I don't know, but I do know enough to keep my mouth shut when in doubt rather than give wrong advice and show my ignorance to the world. As I said earlier, if you don't like how another host answers a question, take it up with them on their talk page rather than sticking your add in the air where the people we are supposed to be helping can see it. Tata. John from Idegon (talk) 07:12, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
@John from Idegon: If you see me answer something wrong, correct me! I am always open to constructive critism. But I personally can't find any times that has happened, and would be happy to see diff's. The link did work when I posted, your thread was later archived before you clicked the link I guess. Still another host came around to help them, once again with a link. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 12:58, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

AWB

Thanks. What I've been trying to do is basically set up AWB to add persondata where it's needed. I know it can be done, but can't find any sort of tutorial; I spent a half-hour tinkering with it Saturday morning trying a variety of fixes before determining what I'm doing at the moment is the best I could come up with. Do you have any suggestions? I'd love to exclude more of the minor edits from my parameters, but have no clue how. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 13:19, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

@Ser Amantio di Nicolao: Hi. Now obviously I don't know how you have it set up, but have you tried activating skip when only whitespace is changed and skip when only cosmetic changes are made under the skip tab? THat should make AWB skip most of the pointless edits. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 06:25, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Actually, there's a module - I did some more poking around last night and found it. Never would have had a clue about it, but I played around a bit and found that it was exactly what I was looking for. (For the record, I did try activating the skip function, but it was a question of determining which parameters to use.) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 13:21, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Message from CryOCed

Hey EoRdE6, I didn't volunteer for being a host at the Teahouse... I'll do it when I am a year longer, and I know I need more experience, rather than a guy who is only a week old. Why did you place a Teahouse Host decline template on my talk page? ~CedricK 19:01, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

I replied on your talk page already. Like my edit notice suggests, I prefer keeping a conversation in one place. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 19:03, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
