I'm not disputing that he died however you do need to cite a reliable source(s) for the information that you add. If details of his death were reported in several Sri Lankan newspapers then cite them. Also don't use Wikipedia as a reference to information in the article- again you need to cite reliable source(s). Dan arndt (talk) 00:02, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please read our policy on verifiability and, in particular, on the need for reliable sources to support any information that is, or may be, challenged. What you know from your own personal experience is not sufficient to allow for its inclusion in Wikipedia, we need citations from reliable sources for that. These are extremely basic policies which you must adhere to. If you do not believe that you are capable of doing that, you really should not edit Wikipedia. It is likely that if you continue to adhere to the course you've set for yourself, there will come a time whn an administrator will have to block you from editing. Presuming that you don't want that, please read and follow the policies I've linked for you. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:29, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vijaya Ramanayake

These are quite common info. His parents info is not online, do you need me to dig them up on his 71 year birth certifaicte and place personal info like that online? Musch of this info is not online, bulk of Sri lanak publications don't go online. I know this person first hand. and to say "The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for biographies". This man has contributed so much to Sri Lanka's entertainment. you may not know him, but to say this is a fucking insult! Seriously, get a life. In accordance with WP policies on conflict of interest you should not create or edit articles about yourself, your family, friends, or foes. If you have a personal connection to a topic or person, you are advised to refrain from editing those articles directly and to provide full disclosure of the connection if you comment about the article on talk pages or in other discussions. The "db-author" speedy deletion tag...

...is only applicable if one editor is the primary author of the article. In point of fact, not only did you not create the article in question, other editors have contributed to it. For those reasons "db-author" is no longer applicable, so I have removed it. Please do not revert the removal again. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:37, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The main contributions from other editors have been minor grammer and layout changes. according the to some of these editors, this page should not even exist. I am just doing what they want. Please reconsider and add back. ==The "db-author" speedy deletion tag...==
Nope. You're trying to delete it for all the wrong reasons. I've recommended that you be blocked - we'll see what happens. Beyond My Ken (talk) 02:48, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, I'm new to wiki.

how do i address this two points? Please advise. sounds to me, like this page should not exist?!! Please advise, i will do what i can.

The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for biographies. (April 2017) A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (April 2017)

Basically, if you have a serious conflict of interest (COI) in regard to this subject, you shouldn't be doing anything to the article directly. Instead, make suggestions for changes on the article's talk page and allow other editors to implement them if they agree. The same for notability. If the subject is not notable, an editor will come along who will nominate it for deletion (I do not think that speedy deletion will be applicable), and then the community can decide at an Article for Deletion discussion (AfD) whether it should be deleted or not. What you should do at this point is step back, and stop trying to control the article one way or the other. Beyond My Ken (talk) 03:02, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
So, once again you're ignoring the advice you've been given and are just plunging ahead with editing the article, despite your admission that you have a conflict of interest. I gave you credit for finally asking what you should do, but you've lost that now. You deserve whatever's coming your way. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:28, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Beyond My Ken I was adding citations man. Im staying away from now on :)/
Once again, as I said before, if you have something to add, put it on the article talk page, and other editors can add it. Read WP:COI. Beyond My Ken (talk) 05:28, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Beyond My Ken

I have read through the conflict of interest. "You should not create or edit articles about yourself, your family, friends, or foes". I'm neither of these. I have met him at lectures and talks, many years ago. FYI. Elevatorone
