Retitling an article

When you've created an article and want to change the title, the best way to do that is to move the page rather than to copy-and-paste content from one article to another. Schazjmd (talk) 21:58, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Would you like some help renaming Prometheus Fuels? Schazjmd (talk) 22:12, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help! I didn't realize I could fix a misspelled page title with 'move', so I created a new page with the correct name and put a redirect on the old one. Once I say your note, I tried to go back and use move instead, but it wouldn't let me because I had already created the new correctly spelled page. What's the best way to get this all right? Thanks! DrAngstrom (talk) 22:18, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DrAngstrom, I'll be glad to help. First, though, as best I can tell through the sources, the company's name seems to be simply Prometheus -- is that correct? If so, we should title the article Prometheus (company). Or would Prometheus (fuel company) be more precise? Schazjmd (talk) 22:20, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The company name is Prometheus Fuels, but is usually referred to simply as Prometheus. The most accurate way would probably be to use "Prometheus Fuels (Company)". The most colloquial would be to use "Prometheus (Company)". What do you think would be best? DrAngstrom (talk) 22:22, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
DrAngstrom, there is no other article named Prometheus Fuels so we don't need anything in parentheses (we refer to that as a title disambiguator). Okay, your article is now Prometheus Fuels. I removed the external URL in the lead; we don't allow external URLs in articles except a few in a separate External links section at the very end (more about that at WP:ELNO). It's okay to leave the misspelled article with the redirect in place. Happy editing! Schazjmd (talk) 22:25, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, thanks for the help! DrAngstrom (talk) 22:27, 29 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one or more of your recent edits to Prometheus Fuels has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Prometheus Fuels moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Prometheus Fuels, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi jikaoili, thanks for the feedback on my new article. I thought the references were pretty solid, with citations from Science, Bloomberg, MIT Tech Review, the LA Times, and Y Combinator. I'm not sure how this would fail the notability guidelines. Did I not use these citations in the correct way?

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, DrAngstrom. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. JK (talk) 20:14, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi jikaoili, I didn't understand the COI guidelines. I do have some conflicts here. Not sure how best to do contribute on the subject. Any chance you would consider creating a page for the company?

Your draft article, Draft:Prometheus Fuels

Hello, DrAngstrom. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Prometheus Fuels".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 00:05, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
