A tag has been placed on Wooday P Krishna requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you.  -- WikHead (talk) 08:39, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wooday P Krishna - reply to your message

An article about Dr Krishna was deleted after a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dr. Wooday P Krishna. That means that any attempt to re-post an article about him will be speedily deleted unless it addresses the issues raised there.

The issue is Wikipedia:Notability. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia is selective about subjects for articles - it is not like Myspace or LinkedIn or Facebook where anyone can have a page. The criterion used is called notability, and is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people independent of the subject thought him significant enough to write substantial comment about? More information at WP:42, WP:Notability (people) and WP:Notability (academics)

You said that your article gave "correct references", but there was only one, and that was a quote from him as secretary, Sheshadripuram Education Trust. That is good as a verification that he holds that post, but it is not nearly enough for notability.

Think hard about notability, because if you cannot demonstrate it you will be wasting your time. It is quite a demanding test; many perfectly worthy people are not notable, which is not at all to their discredit, it only means they are not suitable subjects for a global encyclopedia.

If you want to proceed, read WP:Your first article for advice, and then make a draft article in your user space at User:Dr.savipriya/Wooday P Krishna. Just click on that "redlink" to start editing. Take care not to write in a promotional tone - an encyclopedia article should be just plain facts, neutrally stated and verified by reliable sources.

When it is ready, ask user Tom Morris (talk), the administrator who closed the deletion discussion, whether he agrees that your article has overcome the notability problem. If he does not agree, you can make an appeal at WP:Deletion review. You will not be able to post the article without permission from an administrator, as I have salted the title - protected it from creation - because it has now been re-created so many times: three times as Wooday P Krishna and twice as Dr. Wooday P Krishna.
