You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.3 and later."

  • Hi. The text appears to have been cut and pasted from another source. We can't allow that because of copyright issues, even if it was your original work. You may certainly use an external reference as a source of information on what is clearly a notable motorsports venue, but the text must be in your own words. That's why I deleted it. My mistake. I hit the wrong template, visible only to the admins. Sorry about that. In the meantime, don't worry. You're more than welcome to make an honest mistake or two. Or three.  :)) I generally suggest that in a situation like this (and it happens a lot), use your original text solely as a reference and write a new article here. Otherwise, you'd have to release your original text over on your original website to this site's license, effectively leaving it available for pretty much anyone to use. Wow, what a difference! Looks great! Forgive me for having forgotten to make some styling adjustments. It still is a bit "breezy" in tone, but I can fix that myself ASAP. The tag helps alert other editors.
