Welcome!

Hello, Deccantrap, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Phulwari ki Nal Wildlife Sanctuary have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. The article Govind Giri has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Bhil people

Hi, I've had to revert a massive number of your edits at Bhil people. Please note that (a) Raj era sources are not considered to be reliable; and (b) you should not unilaterally change a citation style, eg: by using {{rp}} as you did. - Sitush (talk) 14:51, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Phulwari ki Nal Wildlife Sanctuary, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Panther (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Orphan

How to de-orphan a page? especially village pages with an example.--Vin09(talk) 06:47, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Vin09: I don't have an answer...it is a struggle indeed to de-orphan obscure village pages. I have been able to surmount that issues with tehsils/taluks by adding linking to the tehsil pages on the district page or on pages of important places in the tehsil (e.g., wildlife sanctuary). But much harder to de-orphan village pages unless it is related to a notable event/person.Deccantrap (talk) 07:00, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If there is any sufficient links. Then, we have to add links in the village page or the village name in any other page. Confused with this.--Vin09(talk) 07:42, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nice article. Please provide page numbers in references (especially ones as long as the population ref). Also be careful about correct info, the pop total does not match the ref.

Deletion discussion about Minor irrigation project

Hello, Deccantrap

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username North8000 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Minor irrigation project, should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Minor irrigation project.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|North8000}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Udaipur State

Why did you remove my recent edits to Udaipur State. How is this of puffery if I haven't used any puff words and how are these images not related to the article. Also, why did you remove the conventional name. This is nothing but vandalism

See, Jodhpur State, Jaipur State for comparison. Abhishek0831996 (talk) 02:33, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My edit on article 'Udaipur'

Actually, in this section of the article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Udaipur#Establishment_as_a_city), the same citation that initially said it was founded in 1558, says it was founded in 1559, and this change was not made by me. As far as I know, 1559 was the correct date, as the official website of the Indian government regarding Udaipur also says this (https://udaipur.rajasthan.gov.in/content/raj/udaipur/en/about-udaipur/history.html#). But thank you for letting me know, I will now add this reference as well with the 1559 statement. Uchiha Madara 17 (talk) 12:45, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replying to talk page discussions

Hi, how are you? I see that in your recent reply to my message at the discussion here, you modified my message by adding one paragraph of your response in the middle of my response and then later responding to another sentence separately.
This is not a desirable way of interacting on talk pages. If you want to quote from responses, you can use {{tq|quotation here}}. For now, I will fix your mistake. Have a nice day! >>> Extorc.talk 18:52, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
