Hi, when reverting vandalism[1], please be sure to revert to a known good version of the article that is free of vandalism. Vandals will often use the trick with two edits in a row (often from separate accounts). -- Stbalbach 14:30, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks--Didn't catch that.--DeadGuy 22:32, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Kent_hovind_.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Darth Vader

I do not see how Darth Vader does not qualify as a Star Wars villain. Could you explain, because it looks to me that he is. --DeadGuy 00:13, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Responding at Talk:Darth Vader, since you left comments there as well. - jc37 01:00, 17 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sylar

Sorry, I had to remove your contribution about Sylar's motives, since "fans say" is weasely. Also, we shouldn't speculate; the only theories that should be included are those attributable to reliable sources. Primogen 01:46, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:PeterCroc.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:PeterCroc.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Indon (reply) — 08:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Nude celebrities on the Internet. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Yamla 01:02, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images

Hello. We aren't permitted to use copyrighted images in user space. That means that any fair-use images you have on your user page must be removed. Sorry. --Yamla 01:03, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just letting you know, I found it. Very clever, however, that's why I'm leaving it. Tee hee :)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:DinoCroc.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:DinoCroc.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. TfD nomination of Template:USERNAME

Template:USERNAME has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. If nothing else, the catgory and usage is insufficient. Without a proper category, no one else can find it and use it widely. -- Best regards // FrankB 19:29, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated The End of the World (animation), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The End of the World (animation) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. End of the World pt 2

I have nominated an article you created, The End of the World (animation), for deletion. My reasoning can be found in the nomination. I apologize for the late notification- I sent a message to you just after I made the AfD submission, but it seems it got lost in a database lock and I didn't notice until now going back through my contributions. Feel free to weigh in on the discussion, happy editing to you. Teke 04:32, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

peer review

I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CarnivoreScr1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:CarnivoreScr1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:08, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
